We're rounding off our series of galleries on the Botcon 2011 toys with the second set of at-show souvenir toys, two toys who ironically had nothing to do with Transformers Animated at the Transformers Animated convention! These two toys were Shattered Glass characters, Galvatron and Thundercracker! Galvatron is the reborn form of Shattered Glass Megatron, powered up with the power of Nexus Prime of the 13, while Thundercracker is a homage to the legendary Action Master Thundercracker - he's a toy that does double duty because while he came packed with a Shattered Glass Tech Spec, a Generation 2 Tech Spec was also written for him! Check out the galleries of these two Shattered Glass Decepticons below - maybe we'll be seeing them again given this year's Botcon is a return to the Shatteredverse? When I see homages like Shattered Glass Thundercracker I can't help but wonder why anyone would homage him. Also, it makes me wonder how people would react to an homage of a litteral train wreck...would it differ from the train wreck that is Action Master Thundercracker?
Eh, as much as I hated him at first, SG Galvatron has really grown on me, its a good mold that they used for a heroic Galvatron, fits well.
Divided by thundercracker, half want him since i had the original when i was younger. The other half is "my eyes, thier burning". Can't blame them though it was the 90's, my shirt collection when i was younger was the same! Him and ramjet go nice together, would mind a third to make another seeker trifector.
i think he's awesome. his color scheme is so ridiculous, it's fun. and he's one of those toys that was so hard to get back in the day, so he's a fun little figure to homage.
AM thundercracker... much like toxitron, is one of those weird things the fandom wants even though it's a hideous waste of plastic. memes are usually stupid, but ones that are expensive too... *sigh* whatever truely motivates people to want to own evidence that hasbro UK's people were colorblind back in the action master -> G2 era is beyond me.
