Looks mice, that shoulder rocket looks out of place with the rest of the deco.

The shoulder rocket should be a washed silver.

I tried to make a starry background :cry  (it's actually the inner pages of a SW technical book)

I think overall it looks really good. I just feel like Tracks would have gone with a crisp clean paint job. Don't get me wrong I feel like this is some great work, I especially like the head and flame work, just my opinion on his personality

I'm inclined to agree with Lucs. Fantastic paintjob, no doubting, but this is Tracks; he'd go mental if he ever looked the slightest bit weathered. :p

ahhh. I think the reason it doesn't quite look that way is 2 things. First, the lamp is so close its making the black lit up. Second, the obvious line between the backdrop and the piece under the toy. You could really make it work if you had a black sheet or something like that and put different sized random white dots on that, as it'd give that nice "infinite" look.

I know, I know, the camera has that annoying tendency to reveal all the painting mishaps… I'll try to subdue my crazy weathering side on my next project.

thanks REDLINE, but I think that next time I'll stick to a plain white background, it makes the figure stand out better.

LOL :lol , he's just trying to get all the weathering paint off

most of the time that's true, but some times need a darker backdrop to show up like you want. :)
