There are a few first with this project, First time I took apart a Transformer figure to paint and the other is the first time I worked with styrene. The reason I chose black for my Shockwave, is that Shockwave needed to be bigger than just a deluxe class (Swindle/Camshaft) and I couldn't imagine applying purple on this figure.
    Application:
    Voyageur-Class Rescue Ratchet.
Remove the head and constructed Shockwave's head completely out of styrene, and easily poseable because of a ball-joint.
Removed his left hand molded it with styrene and putty.
Guns are from Gundam and Zoids figures and attaches to left arm by magnets.
Painted in flat black, robot parts in gun-metal, and then light drybrush of silver. Also added some purple high-lights.
Windows were done with plastic-mesh canvas I picked up from Michael's and bordered with styrene.
Added 'con symbols to finish him up.

    Enjoy:wink:

I love the color choice. It's different, but it suits Shockwave. The head looks a little tall, but otherwise I think it looks great!

WOW! dude. that's outstanding. The black was a good choice and he's got like a million guns on his hand! Perfect. Really nice choices and build.

I too have been working on a Shockwave kitbash. Been working for a couple months now and almost have something to post.

great job on this one dude! the alt mode rocks! the weapon selection is also really good!

i do think that the head is a little too big and g1-ish though.

Thanks mampy, ya now that I see it the head is a little big, just slightly. I originally wanted the head to be less g1 but working with styrene for the first time I'm happy with how it turned out after the third time:wink:
