I like it. I never knew this guy had so much detail waiting to be painted.

Me either, the area underneath the turret was a real treat to find.

I really like all the weathering you've done. It looks like he has been out in the rain and got some paint wear. I think it would be sweet to add some mud to his treads and rust on some of his parts. It's just an idea. Like I said, he looks really sick now.

CC, this looks INCREDIBLE. Leader Brawl is such a cool figure to begin with, and you really pulled out all of these details well. I really hope we get the gallery from you, CC

    :D

Great job dude! The photos are kinda too bright and drown out the detail, though. :)

Yeah that was the only thing I could criticize haha. But I agree with what the other guy said. Mud effects would make a great addition.

Thanks for the comments, and I agree with the mud paint idea. Just need some brown paint. He also needs more detailing, mainly with the head & hands.

If anyone's thinking of doing something similar to him, don't be afraid, he's a blast to work on and it's really hard to mess him up

Muffin, how did you get the paint to adhere to his shoulder launchers. I'm having a tough time with that.

I think I may just start w/ some panel lining and see where it goes from there...

You should try the toothbrush technique for the mud. I layered mine in 2 shades of brown (darker one first and 2x more the first run) then splatter a second round of lighter brown (using less) to highlight some of the corners and areas.

    Very fun to do.

Im definitely going for the mud look. Im just broke now and only have a few paint colors.
I have gold, but I want brown & copper. I also need to get some gunmetal and brush it in with the silver to get another tone of shading.

Never tried toothbrushes, Ive been buying those 97 cent 10packs of brushes at Walmart, and trimming all the bristles off to make it into a brush stub so the paint stores in the handle and only comes out when you press hard enough. It erases the factory paint, but at the same time rub burns in the silver so it can't be smeared or scuffed

Optimist, I painted his shulder launchers flat black first, so the silver would stick and show better. Personally I think I put too much silver on mine.

Taking his head apart now, seeing If I can sqeaze a red led kit in there.
