    Hey guys!
Finally I got Ironhide a better stand for my stop motions. I took the legs all apart (but for this you don´t have to) and cut away part of the tonneau cover.
Then I cut and sanded his feet to make them look like feet
All you have to do is unscrew the leg at the knee joint to part it from the torso. Then you can cut the tonneau cover away. Ironhide now has a firm stand.
Hope you like it,I made this for my stop motion projects.

Love how it looks in bot mode, don't like the holes in truck mode. I guess there is no way around that. Still, cool looking bot mode.

Kind of a bitch putting the leg back together, isn't it?

Looks cool. Still not sure exactly what you did to the legs. Can you, perhaps, list the steps?

Feet look fine in robot mode, but not vehicle mode.

    Sure.

    The easy way:
Unscrew at the knee, so you have a better handling.[IMG]

Unscrew the mechanism of the triangle shaped part that holds the wheel in place (this is the automorph part that slides the cover between the legs, upper part of cover)

Cut the rod that connects to the upper part of the cover.

    Screw all together. Finished.

P.S.:Of course the panels in botmode go on the table or so.
Remember this one is made for my movies, no need for perfection there.

Took me a while to figure out what you did. It makes bot mode look MUCH better but sacrifices too much (partsforming, the outline of the toes on that panel for the truck bed) of the alt mode IMO.

Would it not be possible to re-create the bed liner panel using a thin piece of styrene & re-attach it using either...

a.) an rare-earth magnet mounted to the bottom of the foot & inside of the bed liner

b.) hinge the bottom bed liner panel to the upper panel, so that it can fold up in bot mode
