The endless job of repairing and clearing the wreckage of Mission City had ended, much to Hoist's approval. After all, his skills are much better suited in more intellectual endevours than towing scrap.

he found a Kindred spirit in the scientists of the now defunct Sector 7, setting up shop in a cross venture between the Autobots and the US military.

Placed in charge of studying the effects of the Allspark energy wave on Earth technology, he felt that hs skills were finally being appreciated. And for Hoist, what else matters?

Last year I bashed a TFTM Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, which left me with a headless Longarm and a extra Jazz head. I automatically poped his head on, and said to myself..."That's Hoist!" Well, painting Grimlock moticated me to finally paint this guy. Im a lil disappointed with the decals, but its nice to have the hazard stripes in place.

Enjoy! :thumb  As always, comments and critiques are appreciated.

I like the idea, especially the new head.
My only complaints center around the paint. The dry-brushing is quite rough and obvious, in particularly on the upper light bar. It also gives the green in the mid-section an incomplete look to it. Although dry-brusing is a valid technique, it doesn't come off well on non-textured surfaces. The daimond-plate is perfect for this technique, not so much on flat panels.
Also, the original flames are apparent on the hood. Maybe some fine sanding and priming could have eliminated them.

Sorry if this seems like harsh criticism. It isn't intended to be.

I wanna see that too! Post it!

    Thanks, sensei!

    Gracias, hombre!
:lol  I keep getting requests to make one more, but he truly is one custom I aint repeating! Thanks, bro.

    :thumb

I kinda like rough and obvious. :lol  I'm not sure about the "validity" of the technique, I always aim to match a mental picture that I have, Hoist came pretty close. However, I never even thought of sanding da hood (Hmmmmm...), I had a decal planned for that area, but it didn't look quite as good when applied, so I yanked it off. And no the criticism isnt harsh (a lil tactless, maybe) and your sanding reccomendation Ill be using in the future.:thumb  Thanks bud!

    Wow! Nice use of Longarm!

Looks perfect for Movieverse Hoist! This is why Hasbro needs to be looking at the Radicon section for ideas.

What happened to the orange? Or are you trying to differentiate it from the first one?

Looking good brotha! Loving the greens and the head swap. Not to sure I like how the whole figure was drybrushed but it does look good and is per your style so I am ok with it. =D

Great job, very fresh idea for Hoist! My instinct says cut off Jazz' ears, but the more I study it I say it works well for the movie-verse!:thumbs2:

Interesting head choice, man. Not sure about the ears, they seem a little too tall for me (and look distinctly jazz) but maybe just tweak 'em a bit with some sanding to change that easily enough....
