Well, I was somewhat offended at the drone repaint we got of this guy, especially when a nicely done Camaro made for a wonderful update to this guy's vehicle mode. Anywho, a bit of door n leg modding later, along with a headswap, and this guy's just about ready. He needs a bit of cleaning up, especially on the doors, but he's almost ready for paint. Now to find some gray. @.@

I like the head a lot but I am not sure I like it on this mold though. I'll think about it.

It took a good day for it to grow on me. XD

I'd honestly prefer the antennae to stick up instead of back, but I'm afraid it'd ruin the transformation.

    I like it!

Though it feels like it needs paint to erase the "Bumblebee with a different head" feelings. But overall, I think it works! Even makes me think of Camshaft.

Looks pretty sweet. I love the leg mod. The paint will really make him Camshaft.

You have to strip some of the gears in his legs, so the automorph on them doesn't quite work anymore. Then you have to cut some minor bits off the inside of the lower leg to make it so the foot can flip completely around backwards.

And then you just rotate the legs around using the rotating joint above the knee. Unfortunately, this way the car body is on the inside of the legs, while the outside of the legs is exposed workings, but the only way to fix that is to make BB's whole waist rotate... and that's pretty tricky.

There are some pics of how I did it here but I took it further than I had to (and the overall stability suffered). To mod it like Kouri's above is actually not too complicated at all.

Kouri also explained to me how cutting off those faux "exhaust" pipes (in yellow, under the back of the car) allows the feet to lay flat, and makes the whole thing stand properly without having to add anything like I originally thought I would have to.

Actually, I just trimmed away at some plastic on the knees. No gear tinkering needed, and the automorph gimmick works just fine. o.o I'll see if I can take photos later - don't let me forget! ^^

Heh... I did so much extensive stuff on mine to get the waist rotation to work, maybe I'm forgetting how much is actually necessary. :)

The knees? What did you do to the knees? Didn't you have to cut away a bit on the feet to get them to fold all the way back? I was pretty sure that was required...
