    Syfy Hollywood Treasures

Heads up. On June 5 at 10, Syfy's show Hollywood Treasures will be aired.

One of the items will be a screen-used '76 Bumblebee from Transformers (2007).

I, with a bunch of my Star Car buddies, was there during the filming of this show and snapped some really cool pics. Though through signing a non disclosure agreement, I can't share them online til the show has aired. We were there all day in the rain, but of course only a few minutes will be aired. Check it out and I'll post my pics here after the show!

Tune in tonight! Though the guy who arranged the star cars said the Bumblebee segment is bumped to next week. I'm not taking any chances though.

i know that bumblebee is the bane in every collectors bonnet, but it would still be super awesome to own the actual 1974 bumblebee camaro.

Yeah, so the entire setup for that whole segment was made up. We were there strictly for this show. There was no actual car show there. We would not have been out in that rain otherwise. Anyway, the experience was awesome enough to get the chance to take pics with the screen used Bumblebee Camaro and meet the owner and his family, Randy.

This is the driverless driver seat that bolts in after the stock seat is removed.

Great pics. I especially love the fact that the Old Bee vs New BB two-pack in the back window. Nice.

Nice pics. I knew that was a modern Camaro "Bumblebee" that was also there. It's obviously not one of the real screen used concept Camaro's, but still strange that the show completely ignored it.

And man, I freaking cringed everytime they showed an interior shot and saw the rain leaking inside of it

Yeah, that's one of the first things I saw when I got there too :p  I tried to get a pic of it through the rear window but the tint was too dark.

It was a little over an hour away from where I live. I'm in Ventura County and that was shot at the docks in Long Beach.

Yeah, they kind of buried my car. They didn't want to take too much attention away from the old one :p There are a few times you see it peeking out though.

Don't worry about the rain, it turns out that interior was custom made from the same upholstery they use to make boat seats. If you notice the center stripes and accents on the doors you'll see it's sparkly. They did that on purpose to make it show a bit better on film. If you watch the movie closely, you can see it. Very detailed.

Oh, so that was your car? Awesome. Yeah, I kinda figured they'd wanna have the focus all on the '74 BB. Still, the guys could've just briefly mentioned or pointed your's out as they pulled up.

Huh, never knew that. Definitely have to watch for that the next time I watch the Blu-Ray.

I seen that last night and WOW how cool is that. I still wanna now HOW they did that trick with no one driving. I am thinking it was remote controlled but who knows. Then again it could be driven by someone laying on the floor board and he said ONLY the owner will know the secret and no 1 else and I thought thats a shame cause I really wanted to know.
