Final Battle Jazz takes the Autobot Jazz toy and gives it a better weapon, remolds it and improves it. The head and legs are remolded to include battle damage. The gray plastic used is lighter than that used on Autobot Jazz and the windshield and windows are also lighter. The small, black connectors in the forearms of Final Battle Jazz are smaller and work much better then the longer ones used on Autobot Jazz.

His new weapon has several different configurations. The shield can be flipped up or down. The back of the weapon flips out to form a sniper rifle. There's a brace that can flip around to make the weapon useable in both directions on both hands and the whole thing can rotate 360 degrees at the back connector. The Spoiler/Shield no longer connects to the weapon in any way I can see.

So, I like this toy even if it does depict Jazz during about 5 minutes of the film. The weapon is better, though I could do without the firing missle, and the forearms, while still the weakest part of the toy, are improved on. Hopefully, the Target recolor uses the new forearm connectors.

Sorry about the small pics, but I'm still getting used to my camera.

Aha. No more strange "slide this black piece between two different friction points" on the arms, then? It's just a straight hinge now?

If it were really final battle Jazz, then the toy should've came in two pieces :lol

Have you guys bought a Jazz recently? My like 5th Jazz is finally perfect all over but more importantly he has the redesigned arm flap mechanism that is super smooth.

Does FB Jazz have corrected hands? I can't tell fron the pics.

Still, I'm buying this Jazz and giving his gun to my old Jazz, then taking wire cuters to this sucker and painting him up.

    Real Final Battle Jazz!

Jesus your camera makes the plastic on the roof and body on BOTH Jazzes look horribly mismatched.

PS what does his Bio note say?

Yes, there is no more sliding the black piece between 2 points as the arms are now on a smaller hinge.

No. If he did, I would have taken a, albeit crappy, picture of it.

No, same hands as Autobot Jazz.

Yeah, my new camera sucks. I shouldn't have been frugal.

"As mechanical beings, most Tramsformers can take an amazing amount of damage and still operate at peak efficiency. Autobot Jazz is no exception. Battered and blasted, he's still ready to bring the fight to the Decepticons, and keep pounding away at the evil robots until either he or they are destroyed. He is still a force to be reckoned with, equipped as he is with a powerful new weapon that fires bladed crescents of elemental energy sharp enough to slice through solid titanium."

    Strength: 6 Intelligence: 6 Speed: 9 Endurance: 7
    Rank: 8 Courage: 9 Fireblast: 6 Skill: 5

I hav no comment on just how wrong those stats are, even if they are taking into account his damage, which shouldn't matter since he apparently can "still operate at peak efficiency."

I know they're horrible pics, but take a look here:

The arm on the left is Autobot Jazz with his longer connector that makes the hood, when folded together into the arms, not align correctly. The one on the right is Final Battle Jazz with the shorter connector that allows the arms to align correctly.

Thered be no point unless you painted them too and got a precise colour match because Jazz has a diff plastic colour to FB Jazz. And besides, when PROPERLY transformed Jazz has fine arms, I dont see what all the fuss is over.

Guys I have a normal Jazz with the arm fix.... You dont need to get a FB Jazz just look for a new Jazz and if it doesnt have the arm fix you can always take it back.

If no one believes me I'll just take a picture of mine. Its like the running change on 77 Bumblebee

Never heard of an arm fix on Jazz, I'm still keeping mine, it doesn't bother me much, and I think that it'd actually be rarer than the arm fix Jazz

Just got FB today, and I like him better than Jazz, and Jazz is one of my favorite movie toys. I think they cheaped out on the "normal" paint apps, though, Theres a lot of the copper and black paint missing on Jazz, but I can pretend it's like those were only colored b/c his spark was still running. Love his new weapon, though it fires a bit too easily.
