You got me there. But what the Alternators have is detail. They've got more panel lines and little things like that, maybe that's what this guy is missing.

 

How do you know he has 2008 BB?

Hmmm.....I honestly don't know if he has one or not. If he doesn't, he can just pose Longarm with Ratchet. I'm mainly curious to how big he is compared to a movie toy that I already have, Ratchet, and one that I plan to get, Bumblebee.

Edit: Ok, for some reason I thought you did, lol. You can pose him with Old Camaro BB and Ratchet, though I don't plan on getting Old Camaro BB, lol.

 

I dunno. I'd have to get him in hand and get a closer look at him to be sure, but judging by the pictures, he looks to be about as well detailed as the few Alternators that I've had. The details don't stand out as well as they could on the white parts, though, and could probably use some sort of paint app to help make them more noticable.

 

He's about the same size as Jazz in robot mode.

 

Umm....I don't have Jazz, lol. I only have Voyager Ratchet, Voyager Blackout, Real Gear Speed Dial 800, Real Gear Spy Shot 6, and Titanium Blackout.

Heck, I'll be buying two of this figure, one for me, and one for my uncle, who drives tow-trucks for a living! I think he'd really get a kick out of this guy!

 

After reading the scan on the front page pf the "TF Animated w/ Pic of Prime at Licensing Show 2007" thread, I think we'll be seeing Transformers Movie toys from now until sometime in early 2008, as that's when the new cartoon show & toy line debut.

So, I guess it looks like the odds of seeing TF Movie game Shockwave & Mixmaster toys has just gone up.

True. My old 84 Jazz looks like he's been off-roading his white has really yellowed overtime. Although he is 23 years old, and thats in "toy years".

Puttin Longarm out in the sun might not be a bad idea. Place him in the back car window for an afternoon or 2 just to see if it gives him some real world tarnish and flare.

I love that used car look for fictional vehicles and robots, it was one of the reasons that made the original Star Wars so cool to me.

 

After looking at these pics again, you know what I think would improve this guy a lot? Painting the interior of his cab. I think the thing that makes him look sort of unfinished to me is the fact that the inside of his cab is the same white as his exterior color.

I still like this figure a LOT, and will snap him up as soon as I see him on a peg, but I think a coat of darker paint to hint at interior detail would do wonders for him.

(Someone else may have already mentioned this... if so, I apologize.)

 

Isn't the movie line planned as a year long assortment?
I too hope we see Shockwave, and am wondering who that Swindle looking figure is on the back of Longarm's card near repaint Barricade
