Yes, another atrociously and illegally obtained stolen test shot... If you don't like that, please leave this thread NOW. No photos, my in-laws borrowed our camera for 3 weeks. ALTERNATE MODE Definitely the nicest alternate mode of all movie toys with '08 Bumblebee. The deco (sparkly grey with purple fading to light metallic blue on the doors) is awesome with the huge Decepticon symbol on top. Unlike Energon Demolisher, it really works. The bed cover is removeable (it pegs into the bed). You can flip down the tailgate but it won't stay down, it's spring-loaded. Strangely, the tailights are part of the tailgate instead of the truck. The clear windows, headlights and foglights, clear yellow secondary lights and clear red tailights are a nice touch, very Alternator-esque. No licence plate, no painted mirrors. Silver rims. Doors cannot open because of the transformation. Overall, the sculpting is amazing for a deluxe. Actually, amazing for any size class. TRANSFORMATION Split the front end in two and move the halves to the sides. Extend front bumper to form the arms and move the bumper halves toward the forearms. Flip down the hand cannons. Split the rear of the pickup truck in 3 pieces. Fold the tailgate against the bed's floor and fold up the center piece (with the tailgate) toward the cab. Swing down the waist/legs unit (remaning 2 rear pieces). Swing out the lower legs to the front, extend them and fold out the feet/heels. Fold down the windshield halves on the chest. Fold down the piece with the tailgate behind the cab. Rotate the rear sides of the truck up (to form "wings". Swing the hood halves up and doors will move forward (they're spring-loaded). Swing the shoulders toward the back and peg them to the cab. Finally, lift up the top of the cab to reveal the head and rotate the pointy things on both sides to the rear. Place truck bed cover in the fist, slide down the button to extend the capture claw and rotate to open it. You're done! The transformation is complex and satisfying, the best I've seen so far on a deluxe. So much stuff going on, you won't be bored! ROBOT MODE Awesome. The color mix is beautful once again, a lot of mechanical detailing on the chest (with a tiny Decepticon logo in the middle). Legs can be posed Starscream-style or regular-style (what is the game showing?), very stable, articulation is very excellent (head, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees (2 different joints), ankles. Weapon is a bit big though. Headsculpt is once again very unique, never seen anything in that style before. Only one tiny problem (that I will soon fix) : right shoulder doesn't want to peg to the torso. Nail polish will fix that quick. Left shoulder uses a different peg and has no problem. At least, the right arms is not flopping around like it would on Brawl, it's still very solid. Also, the feet has 2 little bars that serve no real function (à la Barricade) that be be swung up. Overall, this is probably my favorite deluxe figures. I can only see '08 Bumblebee surpassing it (and Payload, who knows) surpassing it.
