ALTERNATE MODE

Motorcycle. A sleek looking one. License plate reads "Massachussets TF7407". Kickstand. Purple windshield. Hands double as rear fender. Tab to store missile on the left side. Tires are plastic but look like rubber.

TRANSFORMATION

Similar to Scout Arcee (limbs placed similarly), but this is a totally new mold. Not too complex, not too easy.

ROBOT MODE

Better articulation than Scout Arcee. Better feet, better arms, better head, better weapon. Insert the missile and the "wings" of the bow extend. Pretty cool. Poseability is good.

PROS

-realistic alternate mode
-weapon (bow/missile)
-poseability
-overall detailing

CONS

-visible hands (although they're decently integrated) in alternate mode
-questionable head design (I don't mind it personally)
-no automorph feature

 

I hate it when you tease us like this. It is just TERRIBLE... come on... PICTURES!! Give us something!

I'll have to wait to see it in person. I would've preferred the basic Arcee's colors on the Deluxe version and visa versa.

Deluxe Arcee looks like she's 1:18 or so. Could someone who has her (hint, hint) check this out with a Microman or G.I.Joe figure?

I've gone from a "what the heck's that?" stance to "I want ARCEE now".

The contrived "female" colours aside (a darker purple or blue would have been better in my opinion), I think I'll be buying.

 

Heels? They give her heels!? So if they work so hard to make these the non humanoid completely alien looking one..Why would they even need a female one, let alone then to add one with "breasts" and "hair" and then to top it all off, frikking high heels..?!

Oh and lets not forget the lipstick..This is just awful and stupid.
And I still hate myself for buying the S-7 one too..

 

Could be heels, but some SWTFs have similar feet design. And Blackout too, to some extent.

 

I just...I can't get myself around to liking her. I'd think a big part of it is her horrible head sculpt..combine that with my general distaste for motorcycle tfs and..yeah.

 

This one looks pretty good. She's infinitely better then the basic Arcee, although her bike mode reminds me a touch of Armada Sideways due to the colors. I think its a riot that they gave her high heels and giant robot boobs. The only part of the robot mode that bugs me is the 'palms up' stance of the hands. I'll purchase her.

 

Japanese love giving robots heels. Sometimes it looks good. I don't think I'm interested enough in Arcee's design to pick her up, though.

Arcee looks great as well, one thing I don't think you've covered which we've seen in other pictures is that her bow comes off - how solidly does it peg into her arms?

 

Honestly, my biggest complaints are the color, just not a fan, and the 'flock of seagulls' hairstyle head. It's an ok TF, but one I can pass on easily. If it were light silver/blue like the prequel comic then it may be a different story.

 

I don't mind the colors at all, it's the headsculpt thats getting to me...but I'm sure I'll pick it up since it's a new mold...gah.
