I started the desktop comp this morning and I was greated with a black screen and a blinking monitor light as though the computer was still off. After connecting the monitor to my laptop, the screen on the laptop started twiching, going black and then back to desktop screen over and over, until I disconnected the monitor cable.

I'm thinking it's either the cable or the monitor itself. Since it's the holidays and saturday, no stores with monitor cables were opened. So, as I wait for monday, I wanted to know have anyone else had the same or similar thing happen to them?
