Ping me if you're looking to sell Fractyl, Counterpunch, and Toxitron. I've got a bit of spare cash for the trio.
I am thinking the shipping will likely be something like this: Shipment 1: Toxitron and Fractyl & Scorponok Shipment 2: Pretender Megatron and Lifeline & Quickslinger Shipment 3: Pretender Optimus and Counterpunch & Secret Figure I definitely think the Pretenders will be split up, and that the last shipment will contain one of them. I also think the 7th secret figure will ship with Counterpunch (because he doesn't have any extras), or if not him then Lifeline. This is all speculation on my part of course, as I have no idea how they plan on doing these. It definitely makes sense to have either a Voyager or a Pretender in each shipment. Randy
Sweet. I've been looking forward to this set, Counterpunch in particular. A little sad they didn't go with a CW Heat Wave instead of the weird Pretender Megatron, would have been a nice send-off nod.
One thing to remember, is when they were planning TFSS 5.0, they weren't thinking that it'd be their last. Any changes to mold selection they may have wanted to make when they found out it was their last, couldn't have been made because it was too late (approvals were made). I personally think Pretender Megatron and Optimus are a good way to go out, as Optimus has a shell the TCC funded and neither Optimus or Megatron as Pretenders is anything Hasbro or TakaraTomy would ever consider doing in this day and age. Oh sure, it's not a bad idea by any stretch. And thanks for the insight, I thought they were advised of the expiration beforehand, but this set makes a lot more sense if it's just yet-another TFSS than The Last One Ever.
True, No one thought we would ever seen a repaint or a reuse of the Grand Maximus pretender shell. This offering is pretty unique compared to current collector's series.
One add-on to that, that I don't think enough people fully appreciate. TFSS 5.0 would have been offered for this year, had they not learned that 2016 was to be their last. The fact that we're getting it at all is a testament to the fact that they wanted to push everything they'd had planned (at least, far enough along that it was possible) through so that we could still get them.
These two things aren't mutually exclusive. They wanted to recoup the cost they incurred by coming up with the sets and we get the sets. Hardly worth knocking them . . .
He's sold out for $100 on BBTS, odds are you won't get him that low... Agreed on Counterpunch or Lifeline having the bonus figure...
At least I can finally have an all green combiner. Which is on my bucket list. Along with so many buckets.
