I don't have my order info anymore, but just saw that the munitioner/explorer figures are now 60 bucks a pop. Is it me, or did that price go up from the pre-order?

The release price was about $50. TFsource has been known to raise prices on popular items that are low in stock.

I ordered mine from BBTS, but TFSource is usually the same price, give or take a dollar. BBTS still has them listed at $48.99, so yes...they've jacked them up quite a bit.

Wow, I _was_ going to order a second set from them but not at that price.

Looks like the price hike is just on Explorer.

BBTS has the 2 on preorder November 2010 at $48.99 each. Tfsource has Explorer only for $59.99. Yeah I wanted to order it from Tfsource but they jacked up the price. Now I wait for my card to get charged from BBTS.

One of the things about tfsource that really pisses me off. They go from being a mediocre vendor to a freaking scalper when things get popular.
I have only been scalped by them once, luckily.

American are spoiled by pricing. In a lot of countries around the world the price of a can of coke can be double a can of sprite.

What TFSource is doing is not scalping. It's supply and demand. It can be bad business though as they are risking long-term revenues and customer loyalty for short term gains.

To be fair, tfsource isn't the only place that jacks up prices once demand goes up. I seem to recall bbts raising the price of Unicron from 134 to 150:2c: . Which of course, was followed by tfsource jacking their price up too but I preordered day one so it didn't affect my purchase:rock .

they did the same with the superion kit, it was up to 150 by the time they were getting close to selling out, one of the main reasons i don't like shopping there, wonder how high explorer and munitioneer will get? 150? 200? 300?

    I have 2 sets.
Doesn't change that tfsource has very quickly lost my business over scalping, the credit card deal, and inflated shipping. 3 strikes.
I have 1 preorder left with them from forever ago. Soon as it gets here, those guys will never see another purchase from me.

Would we have had this same level of rationale had they priced the set this high from the beginning? Don't like it? Don't buy it. But please stop posting as if you are fighting some political injustice.

BBTS jacks prices up even more than TFSource, they just haven't done it for these items yet. I don't know why it's okay when BBTS does it, but if TFSource does it, they're fucking evil and not worthy of getting people's business anymore.

yeah, pretty sure thats the shadow scyther, go ahead and cancel that one if you have the nuts and start your boycott early-if its not, I'm pretty sure tfsource will still run accordingly without your buisness. How about you guys focus your energy on the douchebags scalping in the junkion, and if thats not enough....preorder the shit and be done with your bitching already or get a different hobby.

and tfsource is top notch in everything they do. have dealt with them countless times and they are outstanding.

I still think BBTS has some worse pricing tactics. Most notably how everything becomes "new" again when they have a sale on all transformers other than new release ones. lol. Ive ordered from both and havent had any issues with either of them.

It doesn't matter if they jack up the price or not, they are a business and they can charge whatever they want. It's all about the Moolah. Yeah it sucks that the prices change but I'm not going to condemn a company for that. It is up to the consumer to decide which is the better deal for them. I was unfortunate enough to miss the boat early on, but glad that BBTS have a pre order for a second run. Crossing my fingers to get my order filled.
