I was referring more to PE than to TFSource in this particular case. PE's pricing seems to indicate they think a midway-between-Scout-and-Deluxe-sized figure is worth the cost of a Masterpiece. Hopefully those things sit in TFSource's and BBTS's storage for months without selling, so the price will come down.
I'm not sure exactly. I know in the PE Arcee-dedicated thread, someone uncovered a high preorder price on RK or another e-tailer site. Either PE has some really wack pricing scheme, or all the e-tailers are in collusion to fix the prices at a ridiculous profit margin, one or the other. I think it's more likely to be PE, so that's the assumption I'm operating under. It's definitely one of those cases where the buyers hold the power, though...if enough people turn their noses up at this price, it'll come down for sure, and set a good example for any future releases.
Gotcha. Given your sig wasn't for sure. I don't really see where this is worth it myself. I'm perfectly happy with my Delicate Warrior, but might scratch that itch for some. Just not my cup of tea. At a lower price I'd probably bite.
PE is known for their high-end stuff with high-end prices to match, though. Personally the design doesn't click for me, so at that price - or any price really - I'd not pick it up. Feels more like a Mospaeda Cyclone Suit than Arcee.
If it came out that PE's Arcee was MSRP of $20, then yeah, I'd be all over the e-tailers for price gouging. Until that happens, though, I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt on this issue. All the stuff in my sig still stands, though!
