This is a question for all you guys in the UK. My brother is in London right now and I was wondering if it is worth having him look for Transformers for me. Are there any Transformers in the UK that we don't have here in the USA? I'm assuming no - usually when I read threads it seems as though the UK gets shafted in terms of Hasbro releases. Is the packaging that different from the USA releases that it would be cool to have one?

    Thanks in advance!

Well we got HA Skids, MP Skywarp and Legends Devastator before the US. But usually we do miss out on the last couple of waves from lines.

Nothing is out that isn't out in the States already.

The packaging is usually multi-lingual with hardly any bio.

Your brother may want to go to Forbidden Planet or Obital manga as they usually import Japanese products but they will be expensive.

Hasbro have confirmed that they 'hate europe and won't be releasing anything interesting there'.

If your brother is still here at the end of the year, they may be phasing TFA back in, apparently. Packaging is virtually identical to the us stuff afaik.

I would be tempted to laugh if the question hadn't been asked in such a polite manner. The only TF exclusive thing we have in the UK is Simon Furman.

On past experience I think it's safe to say that the "may be phasing Animated back in towards the end of the year" thing is Hasbro-speak for "buy them online or get a contact in the US to get them for you"

It's true. Oddly lovely, wasn't it.

I did laught at the Simon Furman thing, though. If someone buys him and exports him to the US permanenetly I will be unhappy.

On the packaging front, let's put this way: I try and get the US packaging whenever possible. Our bios consist of such things as "[Insert name] has missiles that really fire!" and then they say it again in other languages.

Lately I have seen Classics Nemesis Prime and Leo Prime.

Also both the Legends 5 packs with the likes of Razorclaw, Scattorshot and Ramjet.

I had thought they were exclusives, perhaps I'm wrong.
