OK so the wife brought home a bag of random TF stuff. One of the items was this guy:

The quality is slightly better than the average KO.
The bot breaks down into a giant steam engine, and the arms turn into two small bullet trains who can be tucked into the rear of the big train.
One bullet train turns into a bot, while the other seems to be an Astrotrain wannabe.

He's pretty big, as big as Optimus, who also came in the bag. His face reminds me of Optimus. I particularly enjoy the conductor hat. I think I will call him Conductor Prime.
Anyone else seen this guy? the only marking is "made in China".

It's the Happy Well "Galaxy Defender" bootleg of Might Gaine that was sold at Wal*Mart a couple of years back to be exact.

Yep, like those guys said, it's the Happy Well Might Gaine KO. Looks like he's missing the front of the train / chestpiece. The Happy Well version came with a chrome axe (the original had a golden sword) and it also had the Power Rangers' Thunder Megazord helmet thrown in for some reason.

The head, incidentally, is based on a Japanese Train Conductor's cap, as far as I can gather. It's one of those odd little details, like how Super Fire Convoy / RiD Prime's supermode head is based on a Japanese Fire Fighter's helmet.

I like what Happy Well did with RaiRyu, the added blue on his chest looks pretty good.
Wish we got those here. Ah well, rather go the Korean route anyway.

liqdeal's gonna eat good this month hehe

If you're shopping for a Might Gaine, you might want to look up the recent Brave Revival Series version. It's the same great toy, but the paint is closer to the show, the sword is a lot nicer, and he has a new sound chip that recites his catch phrase.
(Plus the Revival series did a Great Might Gaine boxed set, which includes the other two that combine with Might Gaine. It's big, fully assembled. As in Armada Prime with Jetfire and Overload scale.)

Just to concur with Sol Fury, the Brave Revival reissues have so far been very well done. The new color schemes are an improvement over the originals, but they're not glaring changes - the colors are a little darker and more subdued. They make the originals look almost like KOs when standing next to them. Also, I liked the packaging and artwork so much that I bought the individual Might Gaine, Might Kiser, and Might Gunner AND the boxed set!

The BR-05 Great Goldran box is due this month, but there's not much month left and I haven't heard anything about my preorder from BBTS. I certainly hope the line is successful enough to justify more, especially Pegasus Saber or Super Build Tiger.

Got me a Might Gaine ko the other day, the quality's not bad.
The smaller Prime like head is much better looking than the giant detachable head that comes with him. (as shown on box)
He also comes with an axe and his train wheels have some red axles connecting them.

Ignore the game , from a haul pic

Thanks for the thread man, it was the motiv to track him down. One of the best $6 I ever spent hehe

That does look pretty decent for a KO. Are they pretty much gone from Wal-Marts now? I personally don't remember ever seeing one any way, and I go there religiously.

They're cool. Very, very cool. They're the very best of combining robots, though of course poseability was never anything to shout about.

I have that KO. One of the very few KOs I find display worthy.
