Yet another one. Guess Hasbro should start taking notice of how many people are actually bothering to paint this guy up eh? Well anyway, i love how the more talented radicons were able to really take it up a notch and add the leds, and chrome him up and such. Unfortunately, mine is just a simple tape and spray job. Nothing fancy. Tamiya Gloss Aluminium, Light Gun Metal. For the fusion cannon i used Metallic Blue, topped up with Clear Red. This method cost me abit of metallic sheen from the blue, since the Tamiya clear colors had a glossy finish, but it was the only way to get the purple. No Krylons here.

Just a few WIP shots i put together. As for the final product:

That's a really clean paintjob. Even some from the better painters here had a bubble or bump (handbrushing silver almost always will leave a "bump" or two), but yours almost looks like it isn't painted the finish is so smooth. Nice work indeed.

    Appreciate the 'likes' guys! Thanks!

Haha, mine's second rate compared to yours. Just some silver thrown to cover up the grey and brownish plastic. Will be looking to touch up Ratchet next, once i find one. Maybe Arcee as well.

to me, this is like 100Plus or Mountain Dew on a hot day - refreshing.

I love the way you painted it as if it's hot from the press of Hasbro's factory (in dreamland that is).

one noobie question though - how did you paint him up? Tamiya Gloss Aluminium followed by Light Gun Metal or the other way round?

AWESOME job zeroXII. this is what I would call - Lemak Berkrim, Disukai Ramai!

I think I just noticed that you put the purple pieces in the forearms on the wrong arms. Did it interfere with the transformation?

Most of the parts were just gloss aluminium. The parts like the legs and hands i sprayed the gun metal on first, dried and cured, then taped up and sprayed the rest of the areas the aluminium. Pins are a pain to mess around with. And i used up ALOT of tape.

    Thanks for the kind words!

Haha you're right! Didn't seem to have any trouble with the transformation though, but now that you mentioned it, i think the hands are visible now from the top, when they're actually supposed to face down. Gonna have to swap it now.

100% spraypainted on. I have near zero skill with brushes. I could actually try, but i think it'll still be hard to get the smooth finish.
