The FE Takara version of Bulkhead was a nice dark forest green and I have seen a few customs done in forest or British green. I see why now, since there aren't a lot of nice looking metallic greens to chose from (at least not at my local stores).
From what I can tell from the show screens I gathered though, Bulkhead is more of a lighter metallic green so I went with Model Masters citrus metallic green, then gave him a very light coat of a more vibrant transparent green.
From there I added in all of the details I could for screen accuracy, and here he is, my version of a more show accurate TFPRID Bulkhead.

I destroyed his stupid weapon, keeping only the wrecker ball and modifying it to fit snugly over his hand for... you guessed it, a more show accurate weapon look. In alt mode the ball can sit on the back of the SUV, more like the FE figure.
I found that the "wings" in bot mode can easily be removed and put back on for a more accurate look too, as seen in the first couple of photos.

Though this RID version has a less screen accurate chest then the FE figure, his shoulders are much more accurate and his size looks great with other PRID figs. I was pleasantly surprised how cool this guy is right out of the box.
Hope yall like what I did with him!

For anyone wondering, Bulkhead will be on Ebay tomorrow.

    That's brilliant!

How did you mod the wrecking ball to fit over his hand?

You did a really nice job there. The way you've painted him makes me want to go buy him, but he looks more tall than round to me, and I don't know if I like that. The first Edition one has a much rounder look to him.

If it isn't too much trouble, could you please take a picture of Bulkhead from the side? I can't tell if this guy is flat or if he's got some thickness to him--how does he look from the back?

That's one pretty Bulkhead. I too would like to know more about how his wrecking ball attaches.

The green is a nice hybrid of the too-dark Takara FE version, and the too-light Hasbro version.

Were the windshields painted, or were they just molded that way? I know that the FE figure had clear windshields. The texture looks...odd, in some of the pics. Maybe it was just the clear coat, though.

    Thanks Quad of superiority!

Starting small, I cut a hole in the ball the shape of Bulky's hand, then trimmed more away in places so it fit over his thumb and other notches but at an angle that would look fairly right. After enough careful trimming it went on and stays on great.

There is already a shot pretty much from the side. He has no booty, but he has a good back. I agree he could be a bit rounder.

Nah I had to paint the windows. used Tamiya gunmetal brush paints for those. Where do you see odd textures? Do you mean the brush painted parts or the main green? If you mean the green, its probably the transparent layer of darker green I added. My photos up close on white backgrounds are not nearly as flattering as the commonly seen (and often helped with photoshop) very dark and shadowy black background pics many do.

Would it be too much trouble to get a picture of the wrecking ball with the hole cut into it?

Looking at the toy in person and the photos, he isn't nearly so sparkly looking in person. It is the metallic speckles of the paint up close in bright lights making it look like it has a texture.
I really have to get a new photo set up and probably a better camera too.

    Sure man. See below.
