Latias Prime I'm only slightly crazy!

    Trophy Points:
So I finally managed to figure out how to upload images to here, so the first thing I'm doing is showing off my design for a Transformers Prime based fan-character.

    Name: Sapphire
    Gender: Female
    Race: Cybertronian (Autobot)
Age: 100,000 years old (10 in human years)
Birthdate: June 20th on the human calendar
    Height: 16’ 5”

Basic Description: The youngest member of Team Prime, Sapphire is a fun-loving, tomboyish femme with a passion for fighting and exploration.

    Current Information
    >family background
Daughter of Autobot leader Optimus Prime.

    >birth place: Iacon, Cybertron

    >home: Autobot Outpost Omega, outside Jasper, Nevada

    >possessions, make-up, jewelry, etc.
White Fang: A tooth from an organic creature that existed on Cybertron in prehistory. Possibly connected to the Vast White Pokémon, Reshiram.
Ocarina of Light: a musical instrument that formerly resided in Iacon’s Hall of Records, but was given to Sapphire by Head Archivist Alpha Trion. Said to contain a mystical power, it’s mostly used just for fun, although there have been a few times where Sapphire has caused strange events to happen after playing it. Resembles the titular instrument form The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Rainbow Dash plush doll: A hand-stitched doll of Sapphire’s favorite MLP: FiM character. Made by her human friend Crystal, Dash is often seen being carried around by Sapphire.
Media player: a high tech Cybertronian device that stores music and videos. Has more memory then an IPod and even most computers. Plugs directly into Sapphire’s auditory and visual processors, with a holographic interface.
MLP: FiM toys: Sapphire collects the toys; although she doesn’t really play with them (they are a bit too small).

Bow: Her favored ranged weapon. Made of flexible yet strong Cybertronian metals, it is silent and consumes no Energon, and in Sapphire’s servos it’s capable of hitting a target from a mile away.
Dual Energon Swords: Like Optimus, Sapphire possesses a pair of swords that are equipped to her arms. They can slice through wood, steel and even the toughest military-grade composites with ease.
Ion Blasters: Sapphire’s backup ranged weapon. She’s not as good with them as some of the other Autobots are, and usually are only utilized when Sapphire runs out of arrows.
Fists: Backup melee “weapons”. Not as effective as her sword.

    > vehicle mode
2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible with custom paint-job and rims.

    Strength: 4
    Intelligence: 6
    Speed: 9
    Endurance: 4
    Rank: 5
    Courage 10
    Fireblast: 2
    Skill: 9

WhiteFlame: Baby female Reshiram. Egg was found by the Autobots while patrolling a local gorge after a massive thunderstorm. The large egg was contained within a container made of 3 inch-thick steel plating, which in turn housed a highly sophisticated force-field that held the egg in stasis. The egg later hatched while under Sapphire’s care, and WhiteFlame, after mistaking the young Autobot for her mother, was given to her as her starter. Whiteflame is very friendly and playful, often running around the base or engaging other Pokémon in play-fights.
    Debut episode: Master and Students

Reading, hanging out with friends, Rainbow Dash, flying around, walking, video games, going outside and being with her father.

Decepticons, bullies, rain, sports, country music, being stuck inside, the Twilight Saga and Justin Bieber.

TV shows: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, lots of anime from the early 2000s, America’s Funniest Home Videos, and documentaries about animals, Pokémon and the paranormal.
Movies: Star Wars, Disney/Pixar films and general sci-fi and fantasy.
Video games: The Legend of Zelda series, Sonic the Hedgehog series, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros Brawl and survival horror games.
Books: Harry Potter, Terry Prachett’s Discworld series, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series, and books about Earth science and history.
Music: late 90s/early 2000s pop, J-pop/J-rock, almost anything currently on the radio, video game scores and Cybertronian music (which is sort of a combination of the electronic and rock genres. Think Eiffel 65 but with a bit of a rock twist.)

The dark, thunder storms, losing her father.

Stop the Decepticons from taking over the universe.

Reading, writing MLP fan-fiction, playing video games, flying, swimming and surfing, training Pokémon and exploring.

Autobot warrior-in-training. Her duties include scouting, infiltration, and in-air combat.

    >favorite food
    Energon cookies

    >least favorite food
    Energon curry

As a child, Sapphire is still learning about her own abilities and strengths, but what has been seen so far shows that she has the potential to become as great a warrior as her father, maybe even better. She still has a lot of training ahead of her, though.

    >social and other pressure, problems
Sapphire is expected to become the leader of the Autobots someday, and even though she knows this is far off in the future, she still feels a bit of pressure to act like a potential leader.

    >relationships (with who and what kind)
Optimus Prime: Father and Sapphire’s usual partner out in the field. Despite being leader of the Autobots, Optimus always tries to spend time with his daughter. They have a very close bond, and Sapphire often says that she has no clue what she would do without her father.
Arcee: Arcee acts as a sort of big sister to Sapphire, advising her on feminine matters and issues.
Bumblebee: thinks of Sapphire as a friend and is always willing to play with her.
Bulkhead: Bulkhead is protective of her, although Sapphire has shown time and time again that she is more than capable of defending herself, but she appreciates his efforts to help her.
Ratchet: Ratchet is a sourpuss, but he likes Sapphire and watches out for her when Optimus is away.

    >beliefs, superstition, moral value
Sapphire has a strong sense of justice, and she truly believes in her father’s motto: Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.

    >positive characteristics
Sapphire is always willing to help out her friends, and sometimes complete strangers. She is dedicated to the Autobot cause and will even sacrifice herself if it means that it would save someone she loves. She’s kind to Pokémon, animals and those less fortunate then her. She mostly takes orders easily and without question, making Sapphire a wonderful soldier.

    >negatives characteristics
Sapphire can be stubborn and argumentative at times. Her passion for justice often gets her into dangerous situations, and even Optimus admits that she tends to bite off more than she can chew. She doesn’t like failure and berates herself when things don’t go her way. Due to her young age, Sapphire also tends to show her emotions more than the other Autobots. She can get upset easily and will cry when that happens, like any other kid her age. Can become very shy when meeting new people for the first time.

Sapphire is very fun-loving and laid back among her friends, always wanting to play and do something. She can be mischievous and maybe a little annoying, but most kids are like that. She is always mentally preparing for the next battle, however, and is often the first to volunteer for dangerous missions. She’s tough as nails and loves combat, saying that killing Decepticon drones is a great way to relieve stress. But Sapphire still has a girly, sweet side that sometimes comes out. She can be fussy about her appearance, adores cute things and still likes to snuggle with her father at night. She’s just like any ordinary ten-year-old tomboy, the only difference being that she’s a giant alien robot.

Sapphire is a big fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Her favorite of the Mane 6 is Rainbow Dash, with Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle tied for second place. She has all the episodes downloaded to her internal hard-drive but still watches the show on television. Surprisingly, Sapphire loves grimdark fan-fics and art, saying that it’s interesting to see the dark side of the characters, and that life isn’t all sunshine and happiness in Equestria. She’s writing a prequel to the infamous Cupcakes story (explaining how Pinkie Pie became a serial killer in the first place), as well as a story about her pony self-insert OC, Sapphire Star.

Sapphire is an excellent flyer and is the only Autobot capable of fighting in the air. Her wings are very sensitive and can detect subtle changes in air pressure, temperature and wind speed, and her processors are optimized to calculate this information, along with visual and audio feedback, and make corrections in her flight path based on it. Sapphire can often be seen flying outside the base on nice days, practicing her maneuvers and testing the limits of her flight abilities.

Other than flight, Sapphire has good hand-to-hand combat skills and excellent aim with her bow. Her small size is a bit of a disadvantage against larger Decepticons, but she can get into tight places and dodge slower attacks with ease.

Not really magical, but Sapphire does possess strong psychic powers. By using the power of her mind she can manipulate objects without touching them and create powerful blasts of energy, as well as limited mind reading and precognition. Her clairvoyance comes at random moments, however, and most of the time Sapphire is unable to act on these visions. As for mind reading, she can only understand what emotion is the most dominant in someone's mind and not what they are actually thinking. Her telekinesis can sometimes become erratic and uncontrollable when she has one of her emotional "meltdowns", causing unsecured items in the vicinity to move and fly around on their own.

So that's Sapphire in a nutshell. Yes, the story she belongs in is a Pokémon crossover, and unlike my other stories I'm not going to abandon it halfway through. Endless Sky is still in it's infancy, but I plan on completing it... someday. :redface2:

Sapphire isn't confined to the Prime universe. I have created versions of her for most of the major continuities, although I have yet to draw a G1 version. So far, she exists in G1, the Unicron Trilogy and Animated as a teenager, and in the Movieverse and Prime as a little girl.

Any advice and constructive criticism on the drawing or Sapphire's personality would be welcome. I used GIMP 2.6 for the line-art, colors and shading, and doing it on the computer has really helped with my shading troubles, but I'm afraid I'm limited to cell shading as I don't have a tablet or even a mouse for more precise soft-shading, and I'm not too good with highlights yet. I'm also afraid that Sapphire's personality seems too Mary-Sueish, and would like suggestions on how to fix that.

Wow, that was a long post. Anyway, thanks for reading all of this and looking at Sapphire! :D
