I was looking at this photo from the outside in and I was thinking that "these guys don't look that uh... Asian."

Then I saw the Weasley twins.

    Bamboozled!

I am going to do the same thing I did with Peru Kill... I am will buy one regardless of the use of ratchet joints in the design...

Peru is pretty awesome (looking)... other than he seems much too large. I get what UT was going for in getting him to scale with roughly Leader scale Optimus figures, but he shouldn't be a cubit in length (length of fingertip to elbow- and yes I'm exaggerating).

As good as Peru Kill is, hes not quite accurate enough proportionally. TFEvo nailed Hot Rod, so I'd like to see how good their Lockdown could be. The scale for UTs Peru Kill actually works quite well with this Hot Rod, albeit a bit too big in alt mode.

For what it's worth (and I accept this will not be a popular opinion 'round these parts) the last thing we need is another Fanstoys. Too much diecast is too much. You won't hear me bashing FT for any other reason, but their overuse of diecast is beginning to wear out its welcome.

I was thinking that the robot scale is looking to be good here too. Peru Kill is my first third party figure. I saw it and had to have it. Not even a bayformer fan.

Although Peru’s proportions are not 100% screen accurate, he still looks great.

This Rodders though. Hot rod is my fav Transformer and I was not thrilled when I saw what Bay had done with the character but I watched TLK the other day and I found myself liking this guy. Then I see this and now I am worrying that I might be a convert lol.

he seems to be about a head taller than MPM bumblebee, and no more than chest high standing next to peru kill.

Look at the difference here. Mpm Bee has all the kibble hidden in his torso horizontally. That gives him a short and squat look compared to Hot Fire which stores the extra kibble in the torso vertically, similar to what Peru Kill did. Much better design choice for a character who should be tall and sleek.

Basically, Hastak designers had the right idea by storing the kibble inside but they went about it wrong. This is the next step in the right direction and I hope someone redoes Bee in a similar fashion.

I think MPM-3 is really good. Bee isn't a sleek bot. The horizontally arranged kibble works well enough. Adding one more fold would've done away with the backpack but that probably wasn't done for budget and aesthetic reasons.
