You could use microsol and a water slide decal. They set into crevices rather nicely.

Cool -- didn't think rubbing alcohol could be so effectively used to remove only one layer of paint. :thumb

get a toothbrush that you dont want and get some superclean from wal mart. gently apply super clean in a small brushing motion to the square. keep doing it for a few hours and let it dry. this will get under the paint. then do the same thing with 90% iso and it will come right off.

good call hardreturn! took like 30 minutes with 91% iso. alcohol.

one word of advice to those doing this too be careful around the windshield area, that area has blue painted on clear orange and if you aren't careful you can rub some off.

also be careful doing the decepticon symbol on the shoulder, just go slow or it'll rub the silver off.

i just got rid of the blue on the crotch.

Nice! Is the autobot symbol you used the white one? I think I'll use one larger one on the left shoulder.

    Looks real good dude.

Can anybody take a pic of G1 Cerebros and 'olive-free' Onslaught together? I'm trying to get a better look at the differences in shades of plastic.

Damn, that removal of paint looks nice. Gonna wait till I have the upgrade in hand before I start altering my figure, but I may have to give this a shot. Still not sure if I am gonna make him an Autobot or leave him as a con. Classic Cons are always in need of another bot or two.

Edit: May even paint the olive parts with Silver since I have some spray left in the can instead.

Man, I gotta say i really appreciate this post Jarodimus. I was a lil taken aback when I saw your comments to me initially. I was like, Wha??? Where is that coming from. I won't get lengthy, but I will say Me putting down another company to hype up iGear, Fansproject, HR, CrazyDevy, etc is not my style at ALL! I wanna go on record of that. I stand by my love of new ideas, creativity, and good products.

I don't think I was bashing HR and TFCon as much as I was stating that Stronghold didnt look like Fort Max. I totally understand that they have to recoup funds from the mold though. Now with that said, I do have to eat a lil crow, because after seeing Jason Jupiter's "sock work" lol I must say I'm impressed, and am kinda leaning toward wanting/getting one. Call me crazy, but I wonder if anyone can transform Onslaught into an alt transformation base mode. I was thinking of getting one and even taking the wheels off and seeing what I could come up with? Am I crazy?

Anyway, thanks J-Rod, and no hard feelings bro.

lol, maybe i should delete that picture. don't want to be known as the "sock" guy.

when i receive the kit i'll take new pictures of it on the body with most of the olive removed.

I think I'm going to leave mine as a Con. I already have Hardhead. Maybe I could paint Onslaught a flat black... and silver..
