TFCon 2011 Exclusive Stronghold: Paint Removal Tutorial! - Transformers News - TFW2005
sweet!!! Now I will run out of TP faster than after a lunch at Taco Bell... very thorough by the way.. link in this to my FB page and my paint tutorials on youtube as well...
Hey man very nice job on the tutorial and thank you for posting that.
If anybody is going to TFCon and wants to work a trade for a kit let me know. I am in the works for one kit now but I'm trying to get a second for a friend. I have a loose Onslaught in mint condition among other things to offer as trade bait.
Great tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
cool fashion faux pas bro
Well I did'nt expect this to get frontpaged. I'm glad people are finding this some what useful
A) It's not a review
B) It's my shtick
Nice tutorial, but does this mean that Radicon tutorials are subject to front page news? Or only if they involve convention exclusive figures (Botcon, etc)?
Nice overall tutorial. Very bulletproof and even beginner should be able to follow along with ease.
One question though. "Deckels"?
It's a Canadian thing, I guess. It's the way I've always said & heard it.
My Canadian Transfan Ex-Wife concurs!
The Tutorial front-paged was done so simply because it was made in conjunction with promoting TFCon.
As for Tutorials, I've still got some plans for featuring our Tutorials Section, but rarely would a single tutorial make the front page as being deemed "newsworthy".
I hope that clarifies things! If not, just contact me, thanks!
On a similar note, if one is interested in contributing a Custom or Fan Art tutorial, make sure to jump over to the Creative section and post them!
I did what others on here mentioned before; 91% Iso Alcohol with a sock. I think mine came out pretty much completely clean. It took me about a half hour and I didn't disassemble anything or take off paint that I didn't want to (like the windows).
I'm also using 91% iso and it has worked extremely well. I am having a difficult time with the one chest part though. It's like the paint is stained into the plastic. I've let that part sit the longest in my parts tub with alcohol in it. Any suggestions about something slightly stronger to remove the staining without ruining the plastic?
