Then maybe the price on SS will drop so mac&cheese can find it on BBTS for $100 new. I do support the notion, but since SG Prime is my last TF for the next few years, I won't be picking one up.
No, I also doubt it. because, there is just no guarantee that various club members would want to buy the protector armor colored in blue sideburn colors.
Interesting take... Can I ask: "Why would FP wanna do an Upgrade Kit for Sideburn? Just because the mold originated from Rodimus so the Fandom's gonna be milked dry?
No, I'm sure Shadow Scyther is meant for the BotCon SG Rodimus and not the Gentei! Wildrider. I'm not positive on Wildrider's production run total, but judging by it's price from the very beginning I'm sure it's a bit less than SG Rodimus' total of 1100. Also, it just makes more sense. SG Rodimus Prime.
Yeah, but like I said- I'm sure Nemesis Prime got a much larger production run than Gentei! Wildrider. And yeah, the SG Prime trailer was by BTS.
If they do it i would buy it honestly. But i will say that it also would not make any sense for the character based on the original fiction of RID. And FP may see the market and go for it. I would not blame them.
I don't really see people's compulsion for buying -every- FansProject release. Yes, they are the best of the unlicensed guys, but it's not like everything they touch turns to gold. The Protector set, in particular, doesn't even look that great. It gives Rodimus better arm articulation, that's about it. Like IG said above me, there's no reason Side Burn would -need- an upgrade set, other than to make easy money off of suckers. (and while I may be an admitted sucker myself, having recently bought a PCC just for its mini-con, that's only a $10 sucker. Nothing compared to spending $40 to join the club and another $50+ for armor)
I'd bite on a trailer, I like the classics look and Fansproject too much to deprive myself of every possible figure I can get my hands on, even if it is a made up figure. To each their own, that is the great thing about collecting, there is a seat for every ass.
Why. Sideburn never had a space winnebago alt.mode and just because he's a Rodimus repaint we assume we have to have a upgrade for him, I could see the Shadow Scyther happening because A) it looks cool and B) Their's a SG Rodimus whihc would look good and B) It could turn Wildrider into Motormaster. I'm sorry but Sideburn Prime...... "Autobot's Transfor........Well hello pretty sports car."
He may be coloured as Sideburn but as I have absolutely no connection to RiD to me he'll just be a blue Hot Rod. Which is still very cool and worth getting IMO.
