    TFCC Punch/Counterpunch with Non-transforming head

15 Sep 2010: Hey guys, I started on this project because I couldn't secure a TFCC PCP myself and I don't think I could stand the head size (especially with that price tag, I'm in Singapore). So I decided to attempt making my own PCP head by referencing a Japanese custom, the official art and the actual TFCC head.

After weeks and weeks of slow sculpting (new job taking up most of my energy) and multiple failed castings, I've finally completed my PCP head sculpt (well, sort of, might wanna touch-up a little bit more). Sadly, I'm unable to replicate the helmet gimmick.

Anyway, I casted 2 pieces of Universe Sunstreaker's face and began to sand them down in order to fit into the cavity (didn't want it to be a parts-former). That was when I realised how difficult it was to get the head to be the right size, especially 'cause of the auto-morph gear inside the torso. Then I fused the 2 halves together and sculpted in the modifications/details bit by bit, stopping frequently to check whether the head can still fit.

Dig the head, a lot!! I'd take one of each face if you ever make them.

Thanks everyone! New pics added by the way!

Nope, except that I'll have to turn the head 180 degrees before retracting it back into the body.

Hmm, I'm actually pretty alright with Sideswipe's head sculpt ha, so probably won't be making a new head for him.

Thanks! I wanted to make a transformable head too but it was wayyy above my level especially this is my 1st real attempt at a full head sculpt. The only other head sculpt I did was adding a face-plate on Classics Jetfire. Looking forward to seeing F_R's and your rendition!

Fantastic sculpted head. I don't know how you guys do it and get it looking so "straight and robotic."
