Nice Job TFCC, especially Rik.
"TG: The humor often times is created on the spot. Something happens on the set and Michael lets us keep it in the film. I know I still get comments from kids about my “left cheek”. I don’t know if that will ever go away and that was a spontaneous comment that just came out when we were filming the first film."
Haha ok I like that scene now.
I REALLY want to see that preview...
OMG OMG OMG OMG i am so freaking excited! A lot of stuff was said that really gives me a good feeling for this movie.
Does anyone remember Spielberg on the DVD noting he would watch scenes just filmed and see there were gags not in the script? I'm glad Bay likes to improvise but he should have told Julie White not to go overboard in that scene. Still, I'm happy the director is talking more about the intimacy of the robots rather than making them realistic.
good little read...i can't wait for this movie...but i do hope the trailers show some of the story...otherwise what's to pull in the non fan audience...
I don't really think much story needs to be shown at all in trailers and I'd prefer it that way. Based on the success of the first movie, this movie won't need much to attract an audience.
I'm always reminded of Independence Day when it comes to great advertising for a movie. That movie managed to generate a lot of hype without giving away much of the story aside from the fact that it centered around an alien invasion...granted there wasn't too much more to the story than that, but still. As much as I love getting prerelease scoops, i'm still hoping Michael Bay and Co are able to pleasantly surprise us come June 24 with how much they were able to keep locked up.
The first movie, GIANT TRUCK FIGHTING A GIANT CONSTRUCTION THING DEATH BIKE
Okay, now THAT'S just freaking AWESOME.
Tell me about it.
Tell me about it.
These types of interviews can get annoying after a while since most of the same questions are asked. I did like the part about how much more we'll see in the actual movie than what we are exposed to in the trailers. Seems like you don't have to have a lot to draw people to this next TF movie after how many saw the first one. Thanks for posting the interiew
Pretty sweet. It's gonna have one helluva plot.
And you know ur swingin a big *&%^ when you have all that access. haha
You Brits better give the Rosetta Stone back to Egypt, or Hawass will get his mate Bay to send Devastator into England to get it.
Rosetta Stone . . . . .
Great interview. I'm sorry haters, but I just think Mike Bay is a cool guy. He's very down to earth and he seems very into this movie.
I really think Bay made it a personal challenge to make his type of movie, but satisfy the hardcore fans at the same time.
I defintely like Michael Bay. Never understood all the hate for him... He never tries to be something or someone he's not. He makes big dumb action movies, and I think Transformers is a great series for him to direct. This will probably be the highlight of his career, so I think he really is putting his all into it... This is his Indiana Jones, or Star Wars. Plus he doesn't take himself to seriously.
Not all of his movies are great, but he is definitely one of the best at special effects and explosions.
I wonder how many people Rik called after the interview was done to tell them he just interviewed Michael Bay.
