Damn FunPub! They produce such garishly awesome figures but end up costing a fortune for anyone living outside the US...

 

I realized that the only thing that could've been better is instead of having the big fat missile projectiles from Classics/Henkei Ramjet, Funpub used a cerulean null-ray style projectile instead, much like how the original G2 Ramjet was set up like.

 

This guy is epicer than epic. I cannot BELIEVE how nice it looks with Thundercracker!

 

If you're anything like me, you might have more than one of the same Seeker that you can swap weapons with. I swapped the thick missiles on Botcon Thrust with the thin ones on Generations Dirge so they could have their approriate guns, and then gave my CHMS Skywarp's missiles to G2 Ramjet. (I kinda wish I had a Generations Thrust to give his red missiles to Botcon Thrust for further accuracy, but don't feel like spending $20 to do that)

 

Unfortunately I don't have any spare Seekers to pull missiles from.  

I've been hoping that I could find the loose Dirge missiles loose on Ebay but that's a no-go. If Generations ever went on sale I'd probably pick up a second Dirge to take missiles off of.

 

Feels like everybody has this already but me despite that I have 2 "en route" grrrrrr.

 

Finally got mine today. Can't wait till this weekend when I pick up my AM Thundercracker to put next to this goodness. May have to bust out last year's boxset again and set up a gawdy display.

They really put a lot of work into this colorscheme, and as ugly as it is, it looks amazing. Lots of detail, and great looking clashing colors. It is definately one of my favorites of the seeker molds.

I don't really think it's ugly at all. You could say that about AM Thundercracker, but Ramjet's colors go well together. He's basically Skywarp (who's black, purple, and silver color scheme is a fan-favorite), but with the silver replaced with cyan... which just happens to completment purple really nicely.

I didn't realize how prevalent the cyan was when I preordered him, and I thought I might regret buying him since money's gotten tight and I didn't think he'd look all that different from Skywarp. I figured if they did release AM Thundercracker at Botcon like the rumors said (which, of course, came to pass), that might help justify it. But once I saw the in-hand pictures with the cyan parts beaming, I didn't regret it at all. It's a genuinely pretty toy.

 

I'll need to take a group shot with Ramjet, AM TC, and Botcon Skyquake and Leozack.

 

I've been thinking about sticking 2009 skyquake in the 2010 display. He is in the classics display now.

 

In my mind, Skyquake just naturally fits in with Clench. There's nowhere else on my shelf that he would belong.

(similarly, Leozack got pried away from Skyquake and placed with 2005 Deathsaurus)

 

Yeah they can be euro g1 buddies. Leozack and Banzaitron can stay in classics.

Did anyone have QC problems with the paint apps on their Ramjets?

I got mine a few days ago, and one of the sides of his cockpit has the R and part of the A faded so it says "AMJET".

(I'm going to be exchanging it, mind, so that'll resolve itself eventually- I'm just curious if that's the only one)
