At least they are not using the Armada Hot Shot mold, or the Energon Hot shot mold.
I'll get it, but only because joining means I get my Botcon tickets cheaper, joining the OTFCC to buy toys in the UK is a stupid idea, they want $49 shipping for a $35 figure!

I'll have to actually see pictures of the toy before I decide if I'll renew or not. I won't be going to botcon next year, so the only reason for me to stay a member if the toy is good.

In the US - Third Cass Mail - $40
US First Class Mail - $62
    Canada - $69
    Other Foreign - $89

This gives me high hopes for the Botcon set. Between this mold and the PcP use of the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold it seems Hasbro has finally thrown open the doors to the newer Universe figures.

Wow left field and I'm loving it, also means we've got a damn good idea who the 2 will be, I've only got the Jap ver of this mould, if its US version I'll be using the back pack as boxing gloves, as now to start guess exactly what moulds the other 2 will be getting.

Universe Ironhide would make a pretty good Orion Pax but I wouldn't discount Hound either.
Universe Cyclonus is oddly enough the only mould I can see working for Arial (spelling) which makes me think Hound for Orion so they each have a small partner with them.

having never had the hotshot universe toy (only universe figure I missed) this is a nice incentive and the thoughts of orion pax and his bitch getting figures is pretty nice, again its a free figure so I can't complain much.

    Ebay:
They already used Cybertron Hot Shot as Shattered Glass Goldbug, and Cybertron Cybertron Defense Hot Shot as Springer. I don't think they reuse molds for exclusives once they are done as exclusives.

I could see myself buying this on ebay. Even though the mold sucks, it's not impossible to pull off some decent poses by reattaching the shoulder wing things.

Good point! I bet the Botcon set will be a good one!

And this is ok... Dions cool.

I just hate this mold. I'd rather have the Armada version to be honest!

I do like the color scheme on the redeco Dion though, looks good with that gold scheme. hope its not yellow and they use metallic gold.

    ...Oooookay.
    Pros:
-It's a single figure. No more having to collect over 5 years for an average end result (at best) that isn't too keen on standing up.
    -I DO like the mould.
    Cons:
-I ONLY like the mould AS Hotshot.
-I only followed the G1 comics. Dion as a character has less than no appeal to me.

Sorry guys, if this is it then I'm afraid I'll be sitting the next year out. Money's tight right now but I was prepared to drop coin and renew if the freebie figure blew me away, but this is 100% not my bag in the slightest. I'll find an alternative way to get Punch/Counterpunch if he's not out by the time I have to renew, but I honestly have no interest in this figure whatsoever.

Oh my does this look like a mess! Terrible mold choice, primarily because it's a bad mold. The head definately needs to be remolded. Why didn't they use animated arcee?

I don't like it much, and I like the Wheelie mold.

This is a pretty good idea. Was it confirmed by the Club it wasn't the Henkei version? Shame if so, but I'll just loan him the Henkei's guns. He can chill with Alpha Trion until his pals are released.

Also, what if one of the other two is Devcon? I like where this could be going!

Dion is a vast improvement over five translucent nobodies.

As far as opinions about Ariel and Orion Pax being the following year figures, I'd sell those off. The only mold I could see them doing Ariel from would be Cybertron Override...

But maybe that's not the theme, maybe we'll get another character from g1 didn't have a toy? Like Devcon. That'd be sweet

Edit: Foster thinks like me :p
