Robotkingdom Transformers Review: TFC Photron - YouTube
Thanks for posting this review, Daim!
I love everything about this set except for the price. The colors, especially the green windows on the chest, look amazing. They aren't a slavish Reflector homage but they look awesome on their own. The "cannon" is a bit lame, but it can stay in the box .
I wish this wasn't so expensive because I'd try to buy one.
What is with that kibble on the big dudes right arm, that really does a lot of damage to the look of the figure.
Oh well, I was never interested in this set. SFX for the win, they may be little but only in size
Was waiting for a review, but to be honest I'm still on the fence.
Like it better than the PE version (too small), but I think it's shame they went for a black camera. If it had been silver then the robots would colorwise be more G1 accurate.
Biggest issue for me is the lens being a spare part in robot mode. Sure, it might be some kind of canon, but I'd really wish they'd found a way to incorporate it into one of the robots.
Also, reflector wasn't and isn't an important character for me. Forcing three figures into one altmode backfires IMO. Personally, I think I'd like it better if they were less G1 oriented and just made a body that transformed into a camera with the other two figures transforming into add-on parts: e.g. a second figure transforming into the flashlight and a third...well, not sure
(Shame the reviewer didn't realise before shooting that the foldout guns from the feet are heelspurs to enable them to stand better. Think it would help to make them better balanced.)
Can't wait to get these in stock so I can grab mine, thanks for the peek!

Looks really good. I like how all the purple is hidden until you transform them. I am surprised at the size with 1 deluxe size and 2 Commander size characters. The large size and LED justifies the high price tag.
Nice. I'm not sure when exactly I'll be able to get this, but sooner or later I'm getting it. I do like the PE Reflector too still, but the TFC version will work better for my own Classics lineup.
That's kind of my take on them too. The PE set is the more slavish homage in terms of looks and colors, and is more of an homage to the idea and to the cartoon. It's nice, but for me, does not fit into a classics style display well, because the camera mode is too large relative to the others, but the bot modes are too small.
By comparison, this is the more accurate homage to the spirit of the original toy, echoing the intended play pattern of it and its Microchange predecessor by providing a disguised, somewhat believable everyday object that is in fact a robot (or team of robots). The whole idea of Microchange was that they were real-world objects, and this brings that into the modern day and to a higher level of realism.
What's with the face sculpts on the two smaller ones? That frown is lol worthy.
Still prefer my PE Reflector. For one, it actually looks more like the character(s). Other than the green chests and a camera alt mode these don't remind me at all of G1 Reflector. And I think TFC might have a fetish for the color black.
Got mine this morning. Quality is good, detailing is incredible, robots are cool save for those annoying back flaps that could have folded differently. LED is cool too.
Hi, pleae can you put pics next to the classics/Universe/Henkey decepticons?

Thank´s for the Review, please can you put pics with the Classics/Henkey Decepticons?
I hope hoping to see this too.
Cool review, thanks!
Nice review as always. The fact that the camera mode is so realistic is impressive, but yeah, the bot modes look pretty blah.
^This. I'm already thinking about reselling mine. I think I got bored with it like 15 minutes after the first transformation.
