    That's cool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first non-combiner figure they've done outside of those chibi figures, correct?

Well, there was Battle Rollar in 2008, although he sorta combined with Optimus Prime as a backback. Does that count as a combiner?

They released "MP" Hound, Ironhide, and Ratchet last year too, none of which were well received.

The toy pictured looks identical to Garatron's, so unless TFC absorbed that company, I'm confused.

The wings are the same, they're just rotated around so you're seeing the other side. The colours are subjective to the lighting and equipment taking the images.

I think they are the same, just because the figure is displayed with a TFC figure does not mean it's TFC? Or maybe Garatron absorbed TFC :)

I can't see a single noteworthy difference between this and Garatron. The molding, the colors (bar lighting/camera differences), even the location of the screw holes. The only actual difference between the two is that one has the wings flipped around a different way from the other.

Yes, I can read. The first post mentions that this is a third IDW Thunderwing, listing Garatron as one of the other two. I can tell that the two are the same, but the first post doesn't really make this clear when it implies that this isn't the same figure as Garatron.

it's an easy enough mistake, especially when it's now being called tfc and it was labled differently at tfcon

The quote about it actually being a TFC Toys release is adding some to the confusion. If that is a new TFC figure, then why does it appear to be the exact same design as Garatron? Or is the quote implying that Garatron is actually TFC? We could all use some clarification since it seems most of us see no differences between the two.

Next question is: If it's gonna be the exact same figure, is it gonna be more, or less, expensive?
