This is going to sound a bit odd... but the gaps between the legs on the plains is way to close its like they have a tiny crotch as for the tanks cool but the faces are a bit of a let down However they all win for altmode
the author/designer said they'are WWII featured and can combine. he'll put up pictures later. but remember it was posted on Apr 1st. LOL
Letsee... We have a German Tiger I tank, Soviet T-34, American P-51 Mustang, and a Japanese Airplane. Pretty much WWII formers.
very, Very, VERY interesting. So we have a WWII PCC limb set, but what exactly is it referencing??? I mean it is a cool idea, but I can't think of a Transformer reference. It's also odd that it seams to be a mixed lot of 2 bad guys and 2 good guys (Depending how you view WWII). Plus I finally see the Japanese referance on the last robot mode. Since it wasn't colored I didn't see the riseing sun.
You are comparing the wrong T-34 version. The one you posted image is the T-34/76. This Transformer is a T-34/85, a later model T-34. T-34/85 (with an IS-2 in the background): The T-44 is a further development of the T-34/85 so you weren't to far off. A T-34 makes more sense because like theTiger 1 it is a World War 2 tank. The T-44 is a post-war tank. Not a very succesfull type but it was an interim tank untill the T-54 (not a very good tank quality wise but like the T-34 it was cheap/easy to produce and operate so available in very very large numbers to overwealm the enemy). Anyone knows that types the 2 WW2 fighters are? I am not so good at WW2 aircraft as I am with tanks.
Huffer clearly is a direct homage to the G1 character. But about the other PCCs you are probably right. The Japanese plane is probably a Zero. I think to make it complete they should add: Bf 109, Yak-3, M4A3E8 Sherman and Type 97 Chi-Ha. And while add it lets add some ships: Bismark class, Marat class, Iowa class and Yamato class.
The Japanese plan isn't a Zero its a Kyūshū J7W1 Shinden http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyūshū_J7W Although with a few modifications.
There is kinda. Starscream build the combaticons out of WW2 wrecks at Guardacanal. Although a Tiger and T-34/85 would be out of place here. Actually only 1 goodguy. The USSR was as bad as Nazi Germany. Stalin was as evil as Hitler (both killed about 20 million people) and in both countries there was little to no freedom. We (the allies) only worked with the Soviets because we had a common enemy. The Sovier Union didn't liberate any countries but these simply shifted from 1 occupier/invader to the other. The Polish troops that fought with the allies and the polish government in exhile were ignored by the Soviets. Poland and other eastern European countries got their freedom back as late as 1989. When these countries got their freedom back they joined NATO.
You are probably right. I was already wondering which side was the front but I asumed it was the side with the prop as this is the case with most WW2 aircraft. But looking on Wiki I see the prop was on the rear. A bit of a strange choice because it never went into service.
These are totally homages to the G1 cartoon "Starscream's Brigade" and the old World War II ruined-vehicles that Starscream found on the beach. Enjoy!
