Yeah, I took a closer look at mine, and I have some of the same additional stress marks. Knowing that a new fixed crane arm's coming with the next figure I didn't wince as much when I discovered them.

Out of curiosity, why does everybody call the shovel a crane? Entirely different apparatus there...

Never really thought about it, but it's probably because of what it does. It cranes out before it shovels.

is there a thread/post somewhere that shows how to turn the shovel arm sidways and get it to stay on his back like that?

I must say I am very impressed at how this thing feels. Other third parties use lighter, less dense (yet sturdy) plastic like Fansproject. That's fine, but these guys feel hefty and dense. Love how everything integrates and you have options to put things in places you want. In bot mode I keep the hands on the back with the cockpit sticking down below it and the crane on the arm. I only dislike the clear pistol to be honest. I would trade for another purple one.

All I can say is wow! I was very impressed with the quality of the figure. Could've fooled my for a Hasbro toy. Mine was perfect, no stress marks on the shovel/crane area, paint was perfect. Awesome job TFC!

Got mine today... As a standalone figure, it's a bit disappointing for the price, especially the non-locking treads in alt mode. Combined mode is what this figure will be all about. Arm mode is perfect.

The treads lock. Flip down the silver tabs on his arms.

I finally got mine. This figure is ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS. I love everything about it. You can mount SO MUCH stuff on the bot. The articulation is also superb. I would have liked feet articulation but I can see why it can't be done.

I will be adding some decepticon symbols to him when I can find the sticker sheet I had. Where could I have put it?

I got mine today and give it 8/10.

I love the boxy, chunky look of the robot mode as it's perfect for the G1 aesthetic and the different options for pegging various bits in different positions on the body allows for some nice variety....the cab piece being entirely removable is a bit odd but an intresting little quirk.

QC wise I'm mostly impressed, the plastic quality is superb and the overall piece is comparable with many official TF's. The only minor issues I've had are,

Slightly loose head & left hip joint which can be fixed with the usual nail polish/superglue trick for ball joints.

A bit of paint overspill on one of the cab lights and a tiny paint smudge on the faceplate that's barely noticeable.

Of the 4 seen so far I think this is probably the weakest design but it's still a very nice piece and when you look at the larger picture it's a great starting point for the Constructicon team.

That's Scavenger for you. Always the most awkward looking of the lot, IMO.

Not to say I don't like him all the same, mind you.

I just got this figure and i love it. No issues aside from some light internal cracking on the tracks/front thighs (dont know how to describe it). Anyhow, i'm glad i went with this one as opposed to the scout sized ones that will come with the other devestator.

Was on the fence about the figure, but finally decided to buy it after reading the reviews and looking at the pics. Great build and creative TF schemes...but mine came with a missing Hercules middle finger.:(  Hopefully, it can be replaced.

Hi im new this so pls excuse me
im from the philippines so the prices for transformer toys here are more expensive
    movieverse
leader class here are around US$70 so voyager class are around US$35
so for a figure to be slightly smaller than a voyager and cost up to US$107 is a little bit steep for me
and i like tranformers that makes the mind twitch
thats why I like ROTF Optimus prime
this guy is a little bit to easy to transform

but on a side note I can imagine that the final figure devastator will be EPIC!
