Just thought I'd make a thread with a list of the problems with this figure and, eventually, the fixes.
The Hercules Megathread is far too big to find the information in a reasonable amount of time. And besides, this is about Heavy Labor, not Hercules :thumbs2:

    Misaligned thigh
One of HL's thighs may stick out a little bit to the side. You can push it to stay parallel with the other thigh, but it won't stay like that.

    Here's how to fix it:

    UPDATE: TFC issued this statement

When moving his legs back and forth at the thigh/pelvis, you may/will after a while hear a squeaking sound, and the ratchets will become looser, which will lead to stability issues for Hercules. The screws on the joints are capped, so you may have a problem getting them out (I haven't even tried), but others like Percy Havin have done it.
    Details here:

    Possible fix:
These are the parts in question:

    Alternative solution by axiom:

The only other solution so far is to e-mail TFC Toys about it and ask for a replacement part.
    tfctoys-sales@hotmail.com
They also have a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/TFC-TOYS/123904231003542

any other problems? I'll try to keep track of them all and update this post if any new ones arise.

Please sticky this. Also, OP please update this as you see things. Hate for this to be a 400 pg thread where the answers are scattered around.

    OP, thanks for starting this.

My HL will be staying in the box until TFC announces some kind of plan to fix/replace the problem.

Not to jinx anything, but we should probably make one for "exgraver" too since there was the "foot" fix and the mod for the arm before TFC released the replacement. This way, should there me other QC issues with the next 4 figures (crossing my fingers and hoping there isn't), we can have a good place to go to without having to search/sift through the megathread.

just saw this thread...i posted this in the megathread...

so after i opened my HL, i moved his leg backwards one click, and that was it...then, i opened up his crotch to see if there was any damage...and indeed there was...that one click destroyed one of the teeth on the forward/backward leg gear...it was sheared right off...

so i decided to do some surgery to the ratchet piece inside the crotch since worst case, i can get new ones from TFC by emailing them...

per a suggestion here, i took a razor and cut a 1/16th piece of the plastic away from the side of the square hollow ratchet piece (i shoulda took pics DOH!!!)...

then i reinstalled the crotch and gave them a ton of forward/backwards rotations and i wasn't gentle about it...

then i took the crotch back apart to inspect it...EVERY last tooth was completely intact (aside from the control tooth that got destroyed from the initial first click)...nothing was loose or floppy in any way from the cut ratchets...though, to be fair, since i didn't test out forward/backward leg movement BEFORE the surgery (aside from that one tooth) i have nothing to compare to...

so, IN MY EXPERIENCE, this mod works quite well...time will tell how long it will hold up...but again, in the event that it doesnt, new parts are an email away...

    EDIT: nevermind

They are interchangeable in a sense. They can be switched but they non screw side of the thigh piece will be backwards and the skirts will not have as much movement if they are flipped. Take it apart and take a picture so we can see what you are talking about for your fix.

None of these are my mods, just copied from what other (credited) people have posted. I'll try to keep it up to date if any other problems come up (fingers crossed they don't)

So what side did you trim? I was thinking of filing down the side with the tooth and making it thinner so it ends easier.
