I saw this on the collection thread, is this a custom or was this officially released by Takara?

 

It came with TFC Convoy.

Yup, it was included with TFC #0 Convoy. It's kind of cheaply made, and if you own all the TFC reissues the inserts start to overstuff it. But it does look GREAT regardless when you've got it filled up with all the inserts.

 

Official. You could get the binder from convoy and add pages to it from additional TFC reissues.

 

But doesn't TFC Convoy usually cost an arm and a leg?

Yes. Over $200 usually...

But when it was originally released it was about $75, which is of course much more reasonable.

Another thing to note is if you go after one, make certain the seller includes this binder. It was packaged in a separate box and taped to the back of Convoy's box, and I see it sell all the time without the binder. If you don't see an additional plain white box behind the Convoy box in the pictures, ASK if it is included.
