Not at the moment. I'm working on our family's Halloween costumes for this year right now. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/468594-halloween-2011-costume-wips.html - Alty
I kinda miss the idea of Scylla being a girl pirate from the BW2 cartoon, since that's already so Animated-y. But that aside AWESOME job. I've seen lots of Animated adaptations, good and bad, but this is one of the coolest I think. -ZacWilliam, only now I want to see Piranacon/King Posidien too.
Wow, I may stumbling onto this thread late in the game, but what I've found is phenomenal. Alty, these designs just OOZE personality (literally, probably, in Skalor's case). Love love love the range of nautical designs/uniforms at work here, and Squawktalk and Beastbox blend in with the team's colors perfectly--a happy accident! Bravo, sir...can't wait to see the final behemoth! Do you think you'll ever tackle their alt modes?
Wow, those designs are incredible. Not a damn thing about them says Animated, though. They're just really amazing redesigns in a non-G1 aesthetic.
The faces for one. They don't match Animated's applied aesthetic of small or no noses and the simple, basic shapes for faces to convey the personality. The designs overall lack the low surface detail and clean lines of the Animated look. There's a lot of three dimension details and parts that wouldn't exist on an animated character. This is absolutely not a slam against your art at all, it's wonderful. Just saying that these don't really fit that style at all, (Maybe Snaptrap could) but rather they're their own great, also cartoonish, depictions.
I'm not upset in the slightest. The whole reason I set out originally in attempting these guys was to challenge my ability to emulate a particular style, so I am very grateful to receive any assistance in attaining that goal. Animated is definitely a challenge, and I appreciate the criticism. I'm by no means done with these guys. Thank you. - Alty
