This was my entry for the Sector70.com Fembot Contest. She took third place.
Glyph was an obscure G1 Bumblebee repaint who made a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo in Transformers Animated. This is my take on her if she had ever acquired an Earth Mode. As such, she is made out of a TFA Deluxe Bumblebee.
The paints are a little rushed in places, because I was rushing to get her done before the deadline. I'll go back and clean her up at some point.
    Here's what I did-
I sculpted a new face for her including glasses made from package window plastic. I started with the original back of the head and built up the new face with layers of epoxy putty. My preferred putty for little details is called Quikwood. It's a wood repair putty. I like it because it's easy to sculpt, and once it's set, it carves nicely- which is how I get my nice clean lines and corners.
She has had the police light removed from her car roof. They way I did that was to saw the light off. This left a hole, so I put a piece of flat styrene under the hole and then filled it in with putty. When it was good and set, I sanded it even.
The stingers were removed from her arms (partly to make room for her new head) and styrene plates were put over the holes.
Her chest is carved down and rounded.
Her new, smaller feet swing around on their original hinges, but I cut the bulk of them off, so that the car headlights and grill remain in place and only the new bumper swings out to make the now much daintier feet. I made the new feet/ bumper by layering up styrene bits and them smoothing them over with epoxy putty. My original idea was to paint them like black mary janes. I still might do that.
I hope you like her as much as I do.

Glyph needs more love, and you've given it well. Even though this piece doesn't match the character model, who cares? Love the glasses. Awesome job!

    hmmm...

    Glasses..? Check

    Cute face..? Check

    Nice set of badonkadons..? Check

Sexy if not cute pose..? Check

    Cute little alt mode..? Check

...Yep, this is a sexy little Animated Fembot to me... Who kind of reminds me of Velma from them Scooby Doo cartoons. Really looooove the way you've managed to turn the Bumblebee mold into cute, little, if not sexy, fembot

I dig it! I've got similar plans for a TFA minerva, so it's nice to see how much of a different trimming and rounding the chest makes. I love the specs too!

My only suggestion would be to do the lines on her face in something other than green.

Also, how come nobody told me there was a fembot contest? :(

This lit up a little since I last checked in. Sorry if I don't answer everyone individually.
Thanks to all of you for such nice responses! As I said, I'm very fond of this little gal. I don't feel like I have to justify the specs at all, since Animated Perceptor rocks a pair himself, and as some seem to agree with me, they're just darn cute!
I was already considering a change from the green detailing to something warmer. I'm thinking orange. I need to fix her face anyway. This is the kind of paint job I do when I'm on a deadline.
Moriamur- Yes. We like Velma. We like Velma a lot.
Tabtiurf- We would have loved to have you, and you're just in time to get in on our G2 Repaint Challange!
Once again, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to respond. I consider this a work in progress, so don't think that it's too late to make constructive suggestions.
