    TFA Bumblebee and Wasp Maquettes

Well after an age of trying to get round to him hes done

He's about 5 1/2" tall inc the base, cast in resin and was sculpted in Sculpey and Wax

Its modular so its easy to mix and change parts to create all the other bots with the 65356-9292-346 'Stinger' body-type.

I'm going to make more parts so a whole bunch of characters can be made and custom combinations will be possible

    Eventually there will be -

    Male and Female bodies
    Male and female Hands
    Stingers and boosters
    Cybertron and Earthmode Arms
    Cybertron and Earthmode Feet
    Cyberton Chest and Backpack(M+F)
    Earthmode Chest and Backpack (M+F)
and around 20 different heads (possibly more if any more are identified, think I've found 3 more since botcon)

There are also a couple of other characters I might make parts for and that'll just increase the part list.

I can't even think of how many combinations are possible for that....all I know is its a LOT

[Update] - Wasp Added - He has a different chest piece as well as a different head....there are only 5 other 'official' chest pieces and 3 other 'official' back pack pieces.
I think the next task is going to be sculpting some earth mode parts, the other body and some more heads

[Update update] Almost forgot, I said i would post the parts - picture added of the parts that make up bumblebee

This is awesome. Extremely show accurate. Great job.
Though one question, how poseable is it?

That is awesome, and I love the idea!

Is he in scale with the Animated toys? Thanks to the Allspark Almanac II, we know there are tons of characters with this body style. Can't wait to see you create Rosanna, lol.

Excellent! I'd love if they actually made statues like these!

Its a statue so its not poseable, BUT it is made in parts and it is in resin (not the polystone resin a lot of statues are made of) so it can be posed cut and reposed before its glued together, so anything is possible really.

Hes better in scale than the toy is. I'm baseing these maquettes on the size of Optimus and jiggying the heights around to get a nice size and reprsentative of the size...otherwise they'd be all over the place. Rosanna is a different body type to Bumblebee, shes a little shorter. But sari will only come upto Bees mid chest (well the grown up sari anyway)

Oh don't worry Perceptor will happen....he looks like hes sharing a body type with at least 7 other bots...as well as the unformatted protoform in the almanac. Its only a matter of time

The more I look at it, the better it gets and I think with a couple of well placed revoltech joints it'll make a great animated "actionmaster" bumblebee.

Again fantastic job, and I can't wait to see what's next.

Its just a matter of the laquer drying glueing to gether and taking the photos.

    Will be up tomorrow night.

I'll also take a photo of the unfinished parts that have been made so far

The head is already on a ball joint (but in the maquette case I've glued it) so it can be repositioned. the head is also the right size to be used on the bumblebee deluxe mould

Excuse my ignorance but is this one base thing with lots of extra bits on it or are they separate figures. Also i think that wasp's jaw thing could be higher. Sorry if i've insulted. ;)

I now have a life-goal of owning a model of each of Cybertron's scout-class population. Might take a while, but these are awesome. :D  Have you got a deviantArt account we can watch or something?
