Been working on this project on and off for a while and I'm finally getting round to getting the first stage complete.

Heres the prototype maquette of Bumblebee.

Its modular so it can easily become any of the other Stinger protoform bots.

I'm already working on other heads and chest pieces

Glyph will need a different body but she is on the list.

Oh and the heads...they're compatable with the Bumblebee toy too

looks great. great sculpting as usual. Do you use apoxie sculpt or another type of clay?

This has been a mix of materials the body and arms sculpted in Sculpey Firm, and the head in wax, its all been/being cast in resin. The base is currently MDF but will be moulded too so the whole final thing will be resin. That means it'll be easy to cut and repose into any position you like!

Good to see you back to sculpting, caitlindevi. Your Ironhide head and Blurr Cube were awesome.

I really like the sculpt on this one. The fact that the head works with the actual toy is really nice. I await Glyph and Tap-Out.

I have one question, though: what's a maquette? :lol

A Maquette is basically another word for a figurine or statue. Maquettes are more specifically usually a figure used as a basis for other things. say as a smaller prototype for a larger figure or as in the case of this (or they style its aimed at) as a 3d reference for animation.
This is why I'm using the styleguide images from the 2 Allspark almanacs to base the figures on.
