I completely agree! BTW, did you do anything to reinforce her hands? I placed her swords in her hands once and got stress marks.
Nope I have been very fortunate bro. no stress marks at all yet. The guns are a perfect fit for her hands too. The sword handles are like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole though lol. but even after fiddling with it for a bit. no stress marks. Surprising how strong her hands are considering how tiny they are. The only little thing I have issues with is having the guns in her hands in alt. mode. the right lower arm tends to enjoy popping off if rotated too much. but the spoiler/s seem to hold them in place fairly well.
I've heard that what you have to do is think of the sword as a peg and the hand as a hole. You think they would go in from the front, but they really need to go in from the top. That's what Ol' Vangelus and Omegus said on the podcast.
That's what I did actually. I think I'll end up either sanding down her hands or adjusting her swords. I'm not sure which yet.
Because of you now I need another Brawn. It just would not be right to deprive my display Brawn of his guns. I can't believe how well they are suited to Arcee. Your paint on the Fins is a good bonus too.
Holy shit, this is incredibly awesome. Might even try it myself, if I manage to get ahold of a second Brawn.
Maybe because these three comments were snarky ways to say the same thing, ignoring the fact that the original post showed this was his first repaint project. Not to mention, you lurked until now? This paintjob pissed you off that bad that you finally had to post? Try constructive criticism next time... and a little tact. Minds-Edge's post was the least snarky, but still ignorant to the fact that this was a first outing.
Damn - those Brawn guns look pretty damn spot-on to her G1 movie weapon. Awesome idea! Good work on updating her appearance, too. You've a good eye for color matching her details. ~Z
