This picture pretty much explains it
    [IMG]

Couldn't they find a way to revive Megatron and give him a new body like in TF: Animated?
The REAL question...........if they do, then should they go with it?

    EDIT:
Some of you guys are basically saying this was my idea for Megatron's revival.
This was NOT my idea that I wanted so Megatron can return in TF4 if there ever is one.
I saw this picture on a Facebook Page that was for people who wanted TF4 to happen. This picture happened to pop up, and I thought I would wanna see everyone on the boards would see.
I do not wish for Megatron's revival to happen, unless we get Galvatron.

No. They already killed off and revived Megatron once in the movies. To do so again will be redundant and pretty pointless.

Didn't Frenzy get his head chopped off too? then he kinda re-grew his appendages. I could see this happening.

your missing one thing. in the pic to the right there is a big ass axe in his head. but i do miss megatron already. maybe after a long stalemate fight, they could call a truce at the end of tf4, if there is a tf4.

What he said. Megatron is dead, let's keep him that way this time. We don't need Optimus version 2.0. Bring in some other powerful Decepticon that the audience may not be familiar with.

The second that I see an actor dressed up as Arkeville or Sumdac, I will laugh.

New villain, please. Megatron isn't the only big bad in the Transformers mythos, you know.

Your attempt is admirable, but your idea is unrealistic.

I think your idea is cool and all, but I don't think they'd go with that.

But seriously, when I saw those two pictures together, a whole lot of lightbulbs went off! :D  I was all "SWEET!", and then I was like "Wait, he needs to die. For good."

This. As much as Megatron is considered the be-all and end-all of Transformers villains, there's always more pre-existing characters to choose from. Galvatron, Bludgeon, even Nemesis Prime and what have you. Or even *GASP!* if some director would have the audacity to...create their own new Transformers villain. The nerve! How dare they! ;)

Sort of like how Lex Luthor is generally accepted as Superman's main nemesis, and has been the big bad of the previous Superman films/franchises, and now the upcoming Snyder reboot has General Zodd as the villain. Perhaps leaving Luthor out completely or saving him for future sequels? Or how Sinestro wasn't the main antagonist in Green Lantern (but the end scene obviously hints otherwise for sequels).

    I can see a future film/possible reboot choosing 1 of 2 directions:

1.) Leaving Megatron out completely and going with a new villain.
    or
2.) Having Megatron truly be the big, imposing out-and-out bad guy that is present for the entire film. No MIA for 4/5 of the movie, no "servant" (The Fallen) or "partners" (Sentinel Prime). Just Megatron. BIG. BAD. MEGATRON. ALL THE TIME.

But honestly, I'd be cool with whatever they do. :)

I'm going to go against the majority so far here and say that if done right, it could really work well. Perhaps a MECH like force studying the head, all the while him plotting from his fixed location only to come back in a new body, more powerful than ever, with a good set up for TF5.

Edit: However done any other way would fail miserably and ultimately make his resurrection corny.

    Agreed.

I also what a possibility of Vector Prime in a future trilogy.
Who knows? Maybe someone steels his sword and bends time to his bidding.

I like Megatron but reviving him would be pretty redundant. Maybe revive him as Galvatron and basically make him a new character.
