    GOOD:

    3D was awesome in parts
    much more robot screentime
    More decepticon interaction
    Dread highway scene
    Sentinal's doublecross
    Megatron scaring the jungle animals
    Megatron whacking SP
    Starscream's fake concern about Megatron
    Starscream chasing Sam
    Prime's trailer transformation
    Soundwave!
    Shockwave's introduction
    What else?

    BAD:

    Megatron completely wasted
    Shockwave defeated by a parachute
    Decepticons die way too easily
    Megatron killed much too easily
    Aim for the eyes?!
Story and direction splutters once the autobots return
    Wreckers underused
Story inconsistencies - autobots feld cybertron due to being overpowered but beat 'cons so easily?
    What else?

I agree with most of those things. I'm a Decepticon guy and I was disappointed. Great characters wasted.

Soundwave was GREAT in RotF, but was just another goon in this movie. Shockwave was built up for nothing. Megatron was absolutely bullshit. Starscream needed MORE of a chance to be a warrior fighting. Fuck...

    I'll keep it short:

    Good:

    * Sentinel was very well rendered
    * Some of the robot action was easier to follow than in the previous films

    Bad:

    * Too many moments where I was wondering "how" or "why" - even "...what?" at times
    * There's still too much comedy
    * Many Transformers are either too easily discarded or simply underused
    * Transformer technology that's an integral part of some grand scheme just happens to be located on/near Earth, and it suddenly comes
into the picture! This is insanely important even though it was never mentioned before! Again.

Well, Prime DID address that last point in the film, by quite clearly being pissed and confronting the humans.

"You lied to us! Everything about our race had been shared"

Not Primes' fault the Government never told him.

    Good:
    Great intro
    Visual effects were top notch
    Good story line
    More Bots (also kinda bad)
The scale of the battles were epic
Wheelie and Brains (surprisingly) were never annoying and made a cute duo
    Darker tone
    Laserbeak the assassin!
    Autobot KIAs with emotional effects
    Wreckers were cool and fun!
    Nods to G1 plots
Sky dive soldiers! (best seen in 3D)
Prime's trailer before it transforms to a weapons depot
    Freeway battle!
    More bot to bot interaction

    Bad:
    Too many unidentifiable cons.
Too many decapitations/rolling heads (seriously way too much)
Badly cut/edited scenes (Bee catching sam and lennox then becomes a prisoner on the next scene?)
Invincible PRIME before battle with SP
    Deaths of Megs and SP
Shockwave underused... could've injured some autobots
Soundwave's design overall. Too small and I preferred the mandibles in ROTF than the mouth
Wheelie and Brains were implied to have been killed (cmon! the lil ones?)
    Dino/Mirage was also underused
Don't get me started with Sideswipe! (no slashing with his swords?)
The part where the cons and their ships being sucked back to cybertron...
JFK looked like a barbie doll haha
Plus the opening part of Iridescent was played too much during the course of the movie

I may not have illustrated it well, but here's what I'm getting at: I think having the cause of all the uproar (i.e. oh shit the Decepticons want THIS and oh NOES they're gonna take over the world with it!) being over super important Transformers technology that just happened to be kicking around Earth is pretty tired seeing as it's been done three times in a row now.

If they were to do a fourth movie...what, would Sam wake up one morning and find his dog digging up the Star Saber in his back yard? Then suddenly...OH NO IT'S THE DECEPTICONS! THEY NEED THE SWORD TO STEAL ALL OUR ENERGIEZZ

    The Bad:
    - How did the Decepticons anticipate Prime getting the Matrix fifty years prior to the Autobots landing on Earth and the Matrix being rediscovered? I watched ROTF like ten times and I still can't even find a logical way to chain together the events that took place immediately proceeding the Matrix's recovery, let alone see how anyone could predict random, statistically improbable future occurrences.

    - The Moon is in geosynchronous orbit with Earth. Still an issue months after the teaser.

    The Good:
    - Just about everything else.

    BAD:

Megatron: underused merely as a sideline character. Then suddenly turned very brittle at the hand of Prime.
Prime - why do they have to keep making him fly???? Also way too overpowered.
Ending - happening incredibly quick. 2 major deaths then credits. Erm... is that it?
Worm Driller - Absolute tripe. Whats so 'Transformer' about that? Shockwave as his 'rider' was a bad choice.
Laserbeak - Pink Bumblebee thing - WTF???? Please that made me laugh out loud. Why bother with that?
Que - the dentures/teeth!!!! Oh please.
Plotholes and unneccessary characters - why was there a need for so many useless characters? Sams boss? Why have him try to fight bumblebee? Simmons again doing the unnecessary.
Flying ships - It felt and looked just like Battle Los Angeles. Please have Transformers flying about not them piloting ships.

    Good:

Sentinal Prime looked great - looked like a Transformer
Laserbeak - Liked his role. Proper fleshed out character. he was great.
Action Decent amount of fights and destruction - this was done well.
Sam I actually laughed a few times at his quirks. never thought I'd laugh at/with him.

Saldy more things bad as opposed to good. I'm just as saddened as you guys.

He did a little bit - you could see in the background a little scuffle.

Because almost nothing done previously in the films relate to one another. If an adequate arc had been written for the Matrix, it probably would not have so many plot holes here.

    Nitpick

In one of the opening scenes - we see the Apollo 11 command module heading towards the moon. Where is the Eagle lander? In the very next scene as the command module enters orbit - the lander is attached to the front as it should be.

I was thinking just that. It would have been easy from an FX point of view to have starscream clones, like the G1 seekers.

It also seems to go against the justification for the protoforms re-entry mode in the first movie ".....why would robots who can turn into vehicles need a space ship?"

A continuity or plausibility error that the writers or Bay should have noticed. It could also be that they wanted something that stood out from all the other clones/TFs and function as another conceived plot device to give the fight a different look from the previous ones.

Another point that bothered me HUGELY:

Sentinal Prime was seen in the Ark in red (as opposed to the gold we saw in the trailer) and appeared to have adopted his fire engine format (screens on chest and numbers on armour)

Surely he would have been in Protoform mode?

    Facepalm.

Agreed. Also with the use of the ships it gives the impression of the invading army on a massive scale.

This one didn't bother me this time, Megatron did say that Sentinel was heading to Earth to meet up with him when he crashed, so its not like just randomly falling on Earth.
