Lets hope there are not as many robots in TF3. TF2 proved that shoving as many as possible into a movie ends up with next to no characterization of them. Besides Skids/Mudflap/Fallen, I can't think of any that had any character development. 1 or 2 lines doens't quite let us get to know a character (Sideswipe/Soundwave).

What would be best is a small cast of robots but spend a decent amount of time on them so we get to know them. Have conversations between the robots, not just mostly human & robot conversations.

You know I agree with you 100%, but I think it's funny that for 2 years the majority of the fandom pleaded for MORE ROBOTS...

I guess we want LESS ROBOTS with MORE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Sounds good to me!

We should clarify less robots, but more robot screen time. That way it'd be much easier to characterize and identify each robot since they'd be doing more with less.

People need to make up their minds.

First we want more robots, now less.

Two choices. Pick on and STAY WITH IT.

It just pisses me off is all....

    WTF?
That was the BEST thing in TF2! TF1 proved that fewer robots doesn't mean good characterization. Considering both movies, you *can't* expect characterization at all. Let's just keep the good stuff, massive robot fight!

I think characterization would be good. Have like 3-4 new robots, and give all of the robots in the movie at least 4 lines. That should fix everything.

i dont care whether there is more or less, I care about them being unique. I dont want more bonecrusher look alikes and generic looking robots filling that screen time.

The overall amount of bots in RotF wasn't an issue for me, but it would be nice for some of the others to get more screen-time/development. I can understand wanting to utalize Optimus, Bumblebee, and the Twins as much as possible, but some of the other bots could have been just as usefull.

    This is ironic.

Next year, we're going to be complaining about not enough robot screen time, mark my words.

no giant bot like devastator this time, he takes up too much time and money to make, and the toy comes out looking like shit cuz they have to design and build the toy before the bot is anywhere near finished being designed on screen.

I think what the op MEANT to say was "Less humans, more robots"... Less robots would mean MORE Of the dipshit twins, and I don't think I could take another 2+hours of retarded robot rednecks. I do agree that it would be nice to see some character development though. I also agree that more robot inividuallity is needed. Enough with the lookalikes! No Blackout/Grindor clone, No 50 of the same constructicon, etc.

More robots. We don't need EVERY SINGLE ONE to get characterized.

I'm with ya there. I am sick of the back and forth on what people want...and as soon as they get it, they complain about it!

"Optimus was a pussy in the first movie." reverts to "Optimus is ruined! Too hardcore!"

"More bots please." to..."Less bots please!"

As far as what I think about more bots, I welcome them. Not every bot needs "15 minutes of fame", and just because they say they are talking about more bots, doesn't mean that they are gonna go and add 10, 20, 30 more bots to the movie...

less humans (meaning Sam's parents, Sam's roomate, Simmons)
more robots that matter (Optimus, Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe, maybe Sunstreaker, Wheeljack (please?)
less annoying robots (have Megatron frag Skids and Mudflap in the first 10 minutes of the movie, with Intruments of Destruction playing in the background)

I think this bothered me most with ROTF.

If you're going to spend money on robot animation, don't start duplicating bots. The money used to animate the Constructiclones, protoforms, and Grindor could have been proportioned out to the other robots on the Autobot and Decepticon teams to let us see a bit of them.

How about less, unknown drone robots? Or easy rehashes like the Blackout bots?

Oh, and some of the charm and wit of the first movie would be appreciated too. :bay

Honestly, I blame the lack of "characters" due to the time lost in the writers strike.

I'm with you there, and I don't blame the writers at all.
