Inspired by the 'floating heads on poles' on-set photos, here's my interpretation of Shockwave.

This is my first mod with a bit of toy engineering involved (rather than slapping some clay and paint on. Build summary as follows:

    - Custom head sculpt. Carved off Meg's head and replaced it with a ball joint
    - Based on legends class RotF Megatron
    - Apoxie Sculpt detailing and fleshing out some of the blander areas
    - Neoshifter weapon replaces the stock tank barrel, made more organic with clay and pivots on a nail at the elbow
    - Spring loaded weapon still fires projectiles
    - Lower barrel modified with a hand from Ransack
    - Added feet/boosters to the tracks, on ball joints for extra stability and posability
    - Painted with Tamiya acrylics

    Comments and crit welcome.

One day I'll bother to set up a decent photo area...

Harsh light pic is to show the detail in the face.

    1. Cheers
    2. You beat me to it ;)  I only put one in the first post of the thread so that I can control the choice of thumbnail on the index page
    3. Megatron was just begging to be chopped up. If I could have found a leader Megs I would have had a go at that. It probably would have taken just as long and not been as fiddly.

The extra height given to it by the feet and the bulked up arm give it more of a scout class vibe.

Very cool. Feet could have been a little bigger though for added stability.

Love it as a Legends class. Using Megatron as a base was well done!
    Only complaint- right arm cannon?

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I'm thinking it may need a little bit more in the detail stakes - maybe a cybertronian glyph tattoo or three?

True, though the ball jointed feet add loads to the posability of the figure. It's probably not very clear from the photos but I made them round to look like boosters in tank mode and they have a bit of a 'cloven hoof' vibe to them in robot mode (inspired by the horns - Goatboy Shockwave if you will).

Yeah, that was the downside of using the Megatron mold :S It would have been a lot of additional work to switch the arms over and make it as durable.
