What do you think are the chances of TF3 being the same as Tf1/Tf2, when it comes to a decent robot footage?

TF1 was ok, but then ROTF had so many great robots and little screen time for most of them..

I for one hope this changes, but then again I could end up wrong.

I have little faith in Bay after all the lying and saying there will be more comedy. So, I really just don't know. I hope so though.

Well, there was 50% more screen time in TF2 than there was in TF1, so while I don't expect a similar increase, I still expect there will be more in TF3 than there was in TF2.

I expect at least another scene like the Nemesis scene. It would be good if it was more than one, though. But I realise the Nemesis scene must have been pretty expensive. However, I don’t really expect much more than ROTF. Saying that, there was definitely more confidence when it came to the robots in ROTF, so we’ll see. Maybe Bay, as it’s his last TF film, will finally allow them to shine?

    I voted, "I don't care it's a bay movie poll option."

From all Reported stuff I've been reading since april 2010. It looks like the TF3 movie human cast is bigger than it's ever been. it looks like their tons of cameos from humans who are high profile actors/actresses in the TF3 movie.

If I had to guess the robots in TF3. will get less screen time then they've received in TF1 & TF2.

I'd say there will be little to no real difference in TF3. Why change a lame formula now?

People expect too much as far as the robot screne time goes. These things are ludicrously expensive to model, render and composite. They have to "ration" the screen time or risk going over-budget.

I think more robot time doesn't matter as much if they aren't going to do something good with that time. Due to the budget there will always be a limit on how much time they can have so they need to make the most of it rather using it for bad humor that could be done by a human character.

A shorter over all movie would help as well. The robot time might stay the same but in a shorter leaner film the proportion of time would be greater.

I voted for "nope". Because I do believe the screen time will be about the same. I don't think we will ever get the quality screen time that we want with the guys currently running the show. :(

TF1 - Great look at the characters, not a lot of time or presence in the whole movie (really, the TFs show up halfway in)

TF2 - Not that great of a focus on the characters, but a higher amount of time and presence throughout. I was always aware of the robots in ROTF.

So I don't know what to expect. Hope they can get the sweet spot with TF3 :)

Shooting ended relatively quickly. That alone should tell us how much is being CG. Theres at least a really great chance of better robot screen time.

I don't think it really tells us anything about robot vs human time in the film. It just says shooting must have gone well without many unexpected delays.

That's one way of looking at it, but with filming more or less completed a full 7 months before release, that does make me assume that there is going to be quite a bit accomplished on the CGI side. And since headshots of several new characters were seen on set months ago, I think it's safe to say quite a bit of CGI work has already been accomplished.

I've said this before, I'm saying it again, the first movie didn't have money, the second didn't have time, what's missing this time around, it doesn't have any excuses left. I think this will be the product we've been waiting for.

To all those that chose the third option: Pansies. Takes a real man to not be so uncertain.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it'll be the same shallow, CGI-Robogasm.
