I'd like to see how many people believe Bay will continue to include more stupid jokes and not too much robot dialogue (hence Sideswipe, Jolt Cons.), again, or has he actually listened to the media and fans of how bad ROTF was and include more robot lines and less jokes, in the next installment.. post your poll!

Just keep Leo and the Twins to a minimum. And less awful robot heads like the twins and more along the lines of of Optimus and Soundwave who somewhat resemble their G1 counterparts.

Bay's films are generally quite funny like TF 1, Armageddon and the Rock. Don't know what he thought he was doing with ROTF. The parents were funnier when they were played straight in TF1 not the goofy stuff from TF2.

I'm hopeful. I enjoyed ROTF, but I would like to see him pull off a great TF movie for TF3. The negative press and fan reaction might be something for him to consider this time around.

It'll also be interesting to see the next film without Orci and Kurtzman to find out the kind of influence they might have had on the last two movies.

    We'll see.

There might be one or two surprises. But no, I'd say things will be fairly similar overall.

    Haters gonna hate.

I think one way or another, people will still hate Bay at the end of the day. He's basically every film snob's whipping boy. He's become a joke of a director, and once you reach that point of public ridicule, you'll never live it down. That's just your lot in life now.

I think the most we, as TF fans, can hope for TF3 is that he does a decent enough job that most critics will just thumbs down the film and then move on.
I honestly just can't see Bay doing a film that's going to wow critics and change their opinion of him.
The main reason people hate him is because he makes stupid action movies. That's what he specializes at. Even if he can manage to do that well, it's still going to be a stupid action flick. And that's what the film snobs hate about him. The fact that he ends up doing horrible ones like ROTF is only icing on the cake for them.

I think I'd agree with that. The only joke in TF1 that made me face-palm was the "Sam's happy time." Other then that, TF1 was not that bad.
ROTF's humor on the other hand was a tad overboard. I mean there are still jokes in the movie that I think some people obsess over a little too much. But overall, there were one too many face-palm moments.

I don't think he's gonna change his style for the TF films. He said as much that ROTF wasn't made for fans, it was brainless fun for the casual movie-goer.

The problem isn't that Bay makes stupid action movies, it's that he pretty much makes the same stupid action movie over and over again. So I highly doubt that this will change for TF3, it certainly didn't for ROTF.

Who knows what to expect. As far as sequels go, from Bad Boys to Bad Boys 2, he went extreme. Same with TF. This will be the first time he's capped off a trilogy. Good or bad, honestly I can't wait.

    I didn't like the parents in TF2.
However, I did laugh at the first TF when the Sector Seven people came barging in on Sam at his house and they were picking up their bushes and "Mom" said to the feds, "Get your hands off my bush!" LOL!
Could've done without the stupid college thing though and Mom getting high on weed. As for TF3, let's hope it improves!

Exactly this. To use a music analogy, why do people want easy listening when a TF movie should clearly be heavy metal?

I expect the third film to follow the same formula as the first two movies. New powerful villain is introduced. Some battles take place (which the Autobots and military will dominate) and tons of explosions happen. You'll have some humor mixed in with everything. Then the new powerful villain dies for another happy ending.

I don't really expect much of anything to change in the third film, but I'm fine with that.
