Given the lighting and the bright pink background, I think that what appears to be black will, in the end, turn out to be green. We'll have to wait for more/better pictures to be certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if the lighting and bright background making the green parts appear darker. For the most part it does match up with the movie version. Just doesn't have it's weapons deployed.
This further confirms that only Megatron looks like he does in the movie. I may pass on the third movie toyline, since they're looking nothing like they do in the movie.
Hope the paint looks more cohesive on the final product. Looks like I know what my first reprolabels purchase will be though. Oh, what can you tell us about the final renders and bot designs for DOTM?
So you've seen the movie already? Can you tell us what they actually look like then? .......Woooow....
Um...on the hood, roof and back of the the car? You know...all that green. It might look a little weird when put next to the pink but then green and red are compliments, so when you have a lot of red (or pink) light reflecting onto a green surface, the combined color looks more muddled.
i wished i could reach through the computer and slap those who are saying "it doesn't look like the one in the movie" or "where is the green"....it is right there, on the top of the car, like the actual car does! and this is BEFORE all the weapons are deployed! do people not pay any attention? (the answer to that question is yes)
Because the People who steel TF's don't know how to transform them, and all you really need to sale stolen merchandise is proof. They want to sell TF's not expose them
It might not be fake, but it looks terrible still. The movie pictures show heavily modified nascar cars (and I'm not just talking about the deployed weapons). Show me where you see the freakish looking hood, front bumper, spoiler or exhaust on the sides on that toy 'cause it's nowhere to be seen. It's just a plain, boring car. I'm thinking they made countless sacrifices on the esthetics to get the weapon deployment gimmick to work, and that's something I don't forgive easily. So I'm really hoping this is not the only release these caracters get or it will be a huge disapointment. I try to remind myself that I really hated the RotF toyline first few waves and *adored* the later ones. So far... I hope the same story repeats itself.
NICE! I'll probably buy all the Wreckers eventually. It looks like some of the panels can move out to reveal weapons, but not restrict the transformation to robot. That's pretty cool! I'm also glad they could get the real licenses, but a part of me weeps for the funny TF parody decals we could've gotten like "Ape" instead of "Amp" with a picture of Optimus Primal. XD
I know it isn't fake, it was a sarcastic respond to someone else's comment. I do agree with you about the Nascar bots robot modes possibly being f-up for their gimmick.
I think it's pretty clear that there are going to be substantial differences between the toy and what we see in the film. Right now you can see from the seams that the battle mode for one isn't going to be a perfect match. There's just no way. Which is somewhat forgiveable. It's a pretty tall order to replicate all that and have a workable bot mode without making a few sacrifices.
Yes the guns are disappointing, but also, all 3 of the cars had Cybertron symbols carved into them along the edges of the roof and windows, these better be in the plastic and not a sticker.
As a big Jr. fan,I'll have to get a couple of these. One to have in robot mode, and one to have in alt mode.
