    You would expect that after 25 years, countless continuities and sub continuities(E.G. IDW G1) and a live action film, things would be better than that. And while there were a lot of flaws in ROTF, Optimus only gets stronger in DOTM, in which he seemed to copy that G1 scene you mentioned.

    Optimus does seem to be much more formidable when flying.

    I voted for RoTF only because they kept his body around for a good chunk of the movie, and brought it with them everywhere they went. At least in TFTM, when Prime died, you only saw his body for 5 minutes.

    Well, yes.

    They helped him find the Matrix, and they covered him all the way back to the NEST CP so he could go to Autobot Heaven then plunge the Matrix into Prime's chest.

    And TF:TM Prime couldn't be revived or cause the two Autobots that would of most likely revived were not present: Ratchet (killed in the shuttle) and Wheeljack (injured and in stasis lock)

    Again, your post seemed to be implying that they did something in the forest or immediately after.

    I like the ROTF better. In that movie, he was up against several Decepticons including Megatron. In the 1986 movie, he lost in a one on one fight with Megatron.

    The 86 death was much more solemn and emotional: I genuinely felt upset over his death. However, ROTF Prime's was much more brutal and unexpected: he was literally stabbed in the back whilst protecting Sam. I think that whilst the 86 movie had a bigger impact on me, theres something about the brutality of the ROTF that hits me everytime I watch it.
