Just thought I'd give a heads up that several Transformers shows are gonna leave Netflix next month, August 16th. Prime/Beast Hunters, NuRID, and Rescue Bots. Weirdly, the Prime "Predacons Rising" movie seems to be staying put.

They're already all gone from Netflix Japan. All we have are the first four Bay movies. We used to have NuRiD, but only a half season at a time, after which they'd remove the older episodes.

This illustrates perfectly why I will continue to hold on to and buy DVDs and BDs. I never got on board the Netflix shitwagon.

Don't get me wrong. I absolutely get what you're saying. But Netflix isn't meant to replace purchasing movies/shows on dvd. Buying them digitally through ITunes, Amazon, etc. is. Netflix is a great way to check out shows and movies, to decide whether or not you want to purchase them to watch them over and over again. It's is one of the big reasons that video stores like Blockbuster died.

This makes me ask: Where's it going? I thought Hasbro was gonna make their own channel, but I don't think that went anywhere. I'd imagine Hasbro would want people to try and watch this stuff, right?

That channel of theirs was supposed to be The Hub.

Not particularly. Aside from G1, virtually all the old cartoons are for series that aren't on shelves anymore. Hasbro only makes money from syndicating those shows and maybe the DVDs/Blu-Rays but beyond that, the cartoons have fulfilled their purpose as far as Hasbro is concerned.

Hasbro would get a license fee from Netflix. Netflix probably looks at the stats on viewership of the series and they probably are low enough they didn't extend or renegotiate keeping them on the service.

They could always come back. I know Robotech has left Netflix and came back before.

    Hmmmm....

GiJoe, JEM, Transformers, Power Rangers, Visionaries...all living in one place for streaming? I can't say I wouldn't be personally intrigued.

Yup. It's where I was introduced to the show. First watched it drunk in 2014 on Netflix which led to me googling a Transformers site, finding this one, signing up and making one of my very first posts for a burning question.
