Synopsis:

The Bee Team learns about Drift's past when his former mentor Shadow Raker comes to Earth to recover something Drift has taken from him—Slipstream and Jetstorm.

 

I am really looking forward to this episode! This is going to be good!

 

This episode sounds like its gonna be fun. Can't wait to see Shadow Raker and learn Draft's past.

 

Ep 7 should be unpinned and ep 9 should take its place.

 

What a great episode.

Shadow Raker was awesome and him, Drift, and the Mini-Cons have a great past. I'm glad the Autobots were able to accept him, as Grimlock and Sideswipe are both former criminals. The comedy and action was Awesome. Shadow Raker's ship looked awesome but I wish he could've brought some more "shadows" with him. Maybe in the future some of his criminals can come to save him in a future episode. I especially loved how they incorporated Crustacion's Shanix into the episode. Clever!

Overall; 9.5/10 Shadow Raker needs a figure but first we need Saberhorn and Glowstrike. Can't wait til next week and loved the Sidelock Crash Combiner, if you could call it that?

Finally! a new SPIDER Decepticon! oh i love shadow raker! he's so awesome looking and i love how his bot mode is Saberhorn's. this is by far my favorite RID Decepticon of ALL TIME.

Ian James Corlett was awesome as Shadow Raker!

 

I did like this episode.

 

Wait, that was Ian James Corlett as Shadow Raker?! Cheetor grew up to be a supervillain?! I thought he grew into a heroic leader by Beast Machines. How did this happen?

But being serious, this was a very good episode. It's a neat IDW reference having Drift be formerly known as Deadlock. Shadow Raker was a pretty awesome villain, being both Tricky and bad ass, with Corlett providing an awesome voice for him. Plus, I like seeing Saberhorn's CGI model reused. It was odd that he shot web, despite being a bug, but I can overlook that. The fight choreography was excellent all throughout the episode. This is what we should be seeing in every episode. Fast paced, with lots of moves. Having humans find the Shanix from a previous episode was a neat bit of continuity and Slipstream and Jetstorm using it to deceive Shadow Raker was genuinely clever.

Overall, this was probably one of the best episodes of the whole show.

 

Looks like Drift is having a pretty good week his pupils have reached a new level, Sideswipe got some good karma for what happened to Drift on that boat, he wasn't the punching bag, was given a backstory, battled his demons, Grimlock got muffled, he even gave a spoiler to the fans in the new Transformers Movie Spot. I'd say it was a great week for him.

I loved how the human reporter referred to the coins as Golden Disks in the same episode a Beast Wars voice actor guest starred.  

Also glad we saw more of Drift's background.

Don't call him Deadlock!!   Loved Drift's backstory with Shadow Raker, and really liked SR's design and VA (Ian James Corlett)... good job with both, tho I felt a little TFA's 'Blackarachnia' flashback with his design, colors and ability. Pretty nicely animated fight scenes between Drift and SR... and I especially loved when Drift finally showed his students his trust in their abilities now. D'awwwwwwwww..

 

all i could think for most of this episode was "wow I am just realizing how much I love Drift and holy shit is he pissed the fuck off"y j

really badass stuff. i really just love the character driven nature of this show and this message of teamwork and family and learning to watch out for the people you love and defending the people who can't defend themselves.

plus there continue to be hints on what might actually be the best part of this show if they execute the payoff of this obviously complex sociopolitical situation in post war society with Drift's "they are not property" line which is not the first time Minicons being the "slave class" of Cybertron has been hinted at.

this show just gets better and better for me.
